I take a product called Tanq Kuei (Dong Kuei) all natural herbal supplement from Herbalife and it works great for me. Not only does it help with occasional and sometimes persistent headaches it also is great for all over muscle pain. Hey the Chinese has been using it for over a thousand years LOL. Although it is in our womans health section for help with PMS symptoms I know all of atheletes, including myself take it whenever a pain arrises including your average headache. Your welcome to check it out at

I checked with our distribution center and although you can purchase Herbalife products in India, as well as signing up as an independent distributor, with the customs and export laws of your country and of ours, only the basic weight loss and outer nutrition i.e. skin care products are available at this time.

I don't get headaches often, but usually 400mg of ibuprofen and it more often then not doesn't work so i just stick around with a headache. On the other hand, for other pains, I take 4 or 5 ibuprofen of 200mg each and it doesn't numb the pain just takes it down to a dull throb.

I usually take paracetamol for my headache (it's migraine actually). I am prone to migraines and it's really bad when I have one. The pain sometimes go on for days and the paracetamol is such a relief.

Hi agrim94... If its just a normal headache then try taking a SARIDON tablet. It works for me very well.
If you have a very bad headache, then apply SENSUR Oil( Its easily available in any medical store, if you are from India). After applying the oil, tie a cloth to your forehead so that the area is covered. Then take a Saridon tablet, switch off all the lights and television etc, make the room completely cool and try to take a nap. This really helps me.
If you feel nausea also then you can just pop in a vit c tab or may be a chewable nausifar tab.
One more alternative is take ice in a bowl and add very cold water to it. Then dip a small turkish towel into that bowl, drain the water and keep the cold towel on your head, covering it completely and keep pressing it. The towel will become dry in few minutes. Repeat the same process again. This will also help.
However, if its a migraine headache, then do consult a doctor.
Hope these tips help reduce your pain immediately :)

:) Well... Not exactly research, but self experience. Also try avoiding Disprin and Brufen or Ibuprofen as they affect ur health in a negative way. Have a nice day!

I usually take ibuprofen or Excedrin (or some kind of acetamenophin), and they usually work OK, although it usually takes 20 minutes or so for the medicine to really "kick in". I also try to lay down with the lights off, and drink something hot. It's not too effective, but it's the only way I know how to get rid of headaches.

back in the day when i party'd hardy i found coffee got rid of the headache, something to do with constricting the blood vessles in the brain. all aspirin or the other stuff gave me was an upset stomach. word of warning on the ibuprofen, it can and will destroy your kidneys if you take more than directed, that means advil, motrin, aleve all the good stuff that usually works but you pay a price health wise.

Hi, I used to get really bad headaches, migraines, either because of the hot weather or work stress. But I hate taking any medication; so if I'm at work, I'd have to put up with it, until I reach home. Then after a shower, I would go straight to sleep - usually after a good rest, the headache disappeared.

Whenever I have a headache things become really difficult for me. I do not prefer to take medicines and so I keep suffering from the same. I do apply some oil in the head and hairs to feel relaxed.

Well, for headaches and such I usually will resort to Aleve first, and then if that does not work for me since I am prone to headaches, I will take a Hydrocodone. I usually try and stick to the Aleve if I can so I do not become too dependant on the narcotic from the Hydrocodone as well.

I take prescription medicine since I get a lot of migraines. Sometimes Excedrin will help. Resting or sleeping also helps. A good back and neck rub is also helpful.

I will take Tylenol and any pill that works for a headache. If I have some to take. I sometimes will let my headache just go away on its own. I will try laying down and relaxing to see if this may help. I don't take as much pills as I should, but if the headache gets to be a real bad pain then I will take some medicine for it.

I got headaches most of the time. I'm taking biogesic, this paracetamol is very effective for me. When there are times however, thatit doesn't get well, I take mefenamic acid 500 instead. This will do and for sure I could contue working. Should it does not effect, I have to check on my BP already, for sure got a high blood pressure.

Whenever I have headaches, I will try to drink some coffee and see if it can help a bit.
If not, I will massage my hear for a while and hope that it can ease the pain.
Sometimes, I will take a hot bath, it also helps.
I figure out sometimes I am just so stressful and nervous and then my head aches. So relaxing my mind could solve this problem.
It my head still aches, then I will take a pill or two of Panadol/aspirin.
I take pills only after I have tries above methods but failed.
