Do dogs go to heaven when they die?

Do you believe that dogs go to heaven? Why do you believe this? Have you had something to happen after your beloved dog died that might confirm that he/she went to heaven? Do you care if your dog goes to heaven or just ceases to exist after death?

I believe that it is possible for our pets and all animals to go to heaven. Why shouldn't they? they are all creations of God just like us humans, and when their life is done, they deserve to rest in heaven just as we do.

You have a very good point! Many believe that animals don't go to Heaven because they aren't made in the image of God, as man is, and since Jesus came to redeem mankind, only mankind can be saved. The Bible talks about all creation groaning under the sin that Adam and Eve committed and thus caused everything in the world to be corrupted with sin, including animals. The animals groan awaiting the restoration of all things through what Jesus did for man on the cross. I'm not sure if animals go to heaven, or are restored to life as it was in the Garden of Eden on this earth when all things have been restored...but, I know that they animals will be in one of these places.

If humans go to heaven so do dogs in my opinion.
