Is Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter really frech or wrong translation?

I think that the accent is just fine..

I've actually only watched the regular Japanese version but he does speak in a different dialect from the other characters. I think they just used French in your language to signify that difference. They do that in the English dubs too. If a character is talking in a different dialect in the Japanese version, then the English dub would have them speaking with a British accent or Spanish accent or something along that line.
