sometimes i crave for chili hot foods. but whenever i have some i observe that i eat less for i drink too much water that makes me feel full already. some people say that they eat more when they eat something with chili for the chili serves as the one who makes them crave to eat more. so how about you.... does eating something with chili makes you eat more or less? happy chewing

if it is just a little chili then i think we are going to eat more.... but if it is too much already the chili covers the real taste of the food. it is no longer delish. i would rather have a cold drink than to eat more. thanks for the response

hi max, does this mean that chilli helps you to eat just a little? so it is a good way to eat small servings. i think that is a good way for a person to eat much is to put chili in everything he eats. but what happen when that person gets used to hot foods and start eating a lot.... lol that would be a different discussion already. thanks for the response

I tend to eat more when i'm eating chili hot food. I eat more but i eat pretty fast too. I do take sips of water in between just to cool down a bit. Water won't make me full when i only take sips. I only drink large volume of water after i'm done with the food. There's a trick that eating bread with take the spicy feel on your tongue. I tried it and it worked.

of course we all enjoy eating when the dish is delicious. and yes i agree with you that is the food taste good even if it is chili hot then we tend to eat more. it all depends on the food we are eating. a good and delicious food sometimes does not need chili for it might just destroy the taste. thanks for the response.

When the food is chilly hot and it is having good taste. Then i eat it more and more.I know after that just having a glass of water will neutralize the chilly flavor. There are times i eat snacks very hot and there is no water then i just keep the hot flavor in my mouth.

I hate spicy foods especially those with chili. I don't really like eating spicy foods because it makes me sweat and I can't tolerate the taste. I know a lot of people who loves eating spicy foods especially my great grandfather who even pick fresh chili in our backyard before he comes to our table to eat lunch. He even mixes chili with vinegar. According to him and to others who loves spicy foods it makes them eat more because when the food is hot and spicy tendency is you will never allow your mouth to be empty because you can taste the spice if your mouth is empty so you will eat more. I don't know if their taste buds are already immune but for me even a just a bit of spice I don't like to continue eating. I tend to drink a lot of water when I taste spicy foods so I get full fast. I will just look for another food than to eat a spicy one.

i think their taste buds are already immune yori. that is why for them it is just like a natural thing. and because they are used to it they cant eat without the chili. yes i agree that most of us ends up drinking more than eating more. we get full because of water and not with food. thanks for the response

lol.... yes it can ruin your diet for you can eat more tha you expect and drink a lot than what your tummy can bear. thats why most of the pulutans are chili hot the purpose is fro the drinkers to drink more and eat less. thanks for the response and happy chewing

If i find food really too hot which i cant bear any more, i not only drink many glasses of water, i even try to leave that food, i get tears in my eyes even if food has a bit of chili hot, it must be tasty and not that hot even, i cant bear if the food has in it more than one chili infact, or more than jst a pinch of red chili powder or so. i cant eat hot foods at all, and if i eat even i tend to get headache very quickly which doesnt last until i take one tablet again. hence, i mostly try to avoid such foods.

thanks for the response gaya, yes i think you must avoid to eat food that will make your head ache. food should make us happy not to make us not feel good. i sometimes eat chili hot food just for craving but i dont eat a lot of chili foods. some recipe with too much chili does not taste good anymore.

I don't like chili hot food. I prefer a very mild chili taste. If the food is chili hot I better not have it. I just can't appreciate the taste of the food when chili hot as it overwhelms my mouth and cannot taste the food itself anymore.
