Would you be shy or uncomfortable when a family member joins myLot?

Especially when he or she would read the discussions or responses. Is there something that you typed here that you wouldn't want them to read?

If I know it and they are persons that run off at the mouth.. I would decline discussing private things. But, if they were here, they can't be too sure that I am the person that created a certain discussion. Not any of my family members know about this site, as fas as I am concerned. If it is about them.. Well, I really would not sweat it, just as long as I did not use their name, I am okay..

That's my plan. I'm going to deny that it's me. I'm worried though about the crystal clear details.

Only the family members that I've posted really nasty things about. But seriously, there are a few things, but I don't know any family members who would even be interested...

hello modstar Would you be shy or uncomfortable when a family member joins myLot? no. lol my brother is a member here at Mylot, but he is not very active thou. but he does have my Mylot friend's notification turned on and when i do start a new Mylot discussion, he does read it. lol and i have tried to get one of my sister-in-law's to join Mylot, i think that she would love it around here. she is a stay at home Mom but i cannot get her to join Mylot for anything. lol i do not know why. maybe she doesn't think that she can type fast or well enough or something like that or maybe she just doesn't want to spend the time being devoted to Mylot. i haven't any idea why that she will not join Mylot. btw, just curious, is there anybody in your family a member of Mylot also? thanks for sharing. take care and have a beautiful evening.

Most of my family hold me in low regard. I've been open and honest here and I think my family would be shocked and judgemental at some of the things I have written. I'm the black sheep of the family though not as bad as they like to make out. I know they don't approve of me and never have for the most part...things I've said here would make them feel justified.

Hello modstar, I don't think I want any of my family members or relatives to join here. I am so embarrassed if they start to read my own discussions. I used to write about my own life experience and it is not that weird though...but I just feel uncomfortable that someone closer to me in my real life will read it here...

My daughter recently joined....I don't think she has been really active yet but she's here somewhere. At first I worried a bit as I've disclosed some stuff about her dad that isn't very favorable but then it is nothing that she and I haven't discussed and it is truthful and anonymous. So no....I'm really ok with it.

I don't know that I'd have any family members who'd join this site. I'm really the only one who'd do online stuff. Besides, unless I knew their name, and they knew mine, how would they know it was mean talking. There usually aren't any problems between me and my family, other than the typical stuff.

Hello modstar! I have my sister here. She is my referrer. I don't feel awkward or uncomfortable even when she's here because she knows me and I don't have to be scared for because everything I put here are true and it's all about me. I am nice here too..hehehe..

Really there would be no problem, considering the fact that I am under an alias and really, I don't make a habit of telling members of my family that I am on a websites such as this one. I really think that it would be a surreal experience and perhaps slightly uncomfortable. Then again, when would it come up in casual conversation in real life anyway? Still it is just the kind of spillover between real life and online life that would not necessarily bother me, but it would really be a bit too close to comfort for those two words to be so closely together. I occasionally really make a comment, using a general "this person did that" or "it was a bit of an absurd situation when this person did that" without using the name. I do wonder if some of those comments could be used as context clues to figure out who I was talking about, if "that person" did show up.

not at all. it is okay for me if a family members join mylot. actually my sister is a member of mylot. and i have two cousins and lots of friends who are mylot members. what you see is what you get... this is me. and it is also okay for me to read some of my problems if ever i can not tell them personally..... it would be nice to read what they wantto say.

Hi Modstar, This is a great question. I would have to say that it might bother me a little. I say a little because my family members know that I am a strait forward and honest person. I tell it like it is and I always say, "Don't ask me a question unless you want the truth." So, if I were to write something on myLot that they may not like then they have every right to make a response here to it. I am not a mean person and I try not to hurt others feelings, but if I do write something that they do not approve of then all I can say is Sorry, but that is how I feel or see it or whatever it may be. How about you? Would it bother you or change what you would write about?

Nah, my wife & little sister is here? HahahaI guess I'm the straight forward & transparent type - what you see is what you get. If you like it, take it; if you don't like it, just leave it, hahaahaBut my wife & sis are fun people so I don't think there's any problems

I would definitely feel very uncomfortable if either of my parents joined MyLot for different reasons, the first being that MyLot is MY thing and I would rather keep it that way. The second is because I have shared details about my up bringing in several discussions and my parents would not appreciate my comments I'm sure. I wouldn't have a problem if my sister joined, we are close and she would not be surprised by anything I say!

I will not be ashamed because i am not speaking anything vulgar or something stupid here that it will make my family ashamed of me. I am not also answering something with regards to sexy issues here and needs parental guidance So even if they snoop around on the things i have written it was all true, nothing hidden, nothing offensive but all for the benefit of the users. I also wanted them to join but my brother is busy so he does not come to MyLot like i told him he should go abnd be active so that he earns something, but was lazy to do so.
