Where do you go for steak...Ruth's Chris, Golden Corral, Outback Steakhouse?

When I'm in the mood for a steak the first place I think of is Ruth's Chris. If you have never been, you have to go. The steak comes sizzling in butter. My favorite cut is filet mignon and at Ruth's Chris it is fairly expensive (about $30 for 6ozs, I think). Everything is always perfect at Ruth's Chris, but this comes with a price, of course. You pay for what you get though. Now, Golden Corral is cheap and not ever very good from my experience. Outback is okay, but to me the steaks always have a strange flavor. Longhorn, same thing as Outback. And the name Longhorn makes you think the steak will be better but it's just not that great. In Tampa, Florida there is Burne's. It is wonderful. Never had a bad steak there. The name of the place is kind of funny, but no they don't burn the steak or fish or anything else you get there.

Most of the steak places seem that they are fairly expensive. I think that the best place for steak is outback steakhouse but that is just my opinion. Ruth Chris is pretty good but it is too expensive in my opinon. I dont plan to go there at any point because it is somewhere I really can't afford to go to at this time.

You're right about that--too expensive.

I am so jealous! I have never been to Ruth's Chris but my husband has a few times with his work for company lunches or dinners (ones in which the spouse's were not invited). Anyways, I do agree that Outback steaks have a strange flavor to them. I think Roadhouse is the best tasting steak for the amount you pay for them. Plus you get all of those tasty yeast rolls with dinner too! I am in South Florida and there are a lot of Latino restaurants that serve up pretty tasty steaks. I don't go hungry - that's for sure! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I think the best tasting steak place out there is either Ruth's Chris or else Smith & Wollensky. They are both expensive restaurants but the steaks are the best tasting. At those places you have to buy everything separately. Every item is individually priced. But if you can afford it it is definitely worth it for the taste alone. I have never had a bad experience there.

I like Texas Roadhouse steaks. They are always very good. My favorite is my own fixed on my grill but in the winter I like to go to the Roadhouse. I'm not a big fan of Golden Corral steaks. I do like their breakfast buffet on the weekends but that's about as far as I go with them. Outback will do in a pinch and I have never even heard of Ruth's Chris until just now. Sounds delicious though. Now you've gone and made me hungry!

I forgot about Roadhouse. I haven't been there in a while, probably because it's on the other side of town. How lazy am I?!

I know what you mean. AppleBees is the one that is on the other end of town for me and I love it but don't go there twice a year for that very reason I guess I'm just as lazy! LOL Thanks for the BR
