Should i have to upload template at my hosting space to manage website?

Dear Friends, I am new in website developing, i want to know one thing, if you know then please tell me. i am using a software to create website there i created template to control all over website. But i don't know that should i have to upload template also at my hosting space to run my website?? or i never need to upload any template at website? please help me and reply. Thanks
