A sauna will make you sweat a lot, which, in turn, will make you lose weight. But the only weight you will lose is water weight, and as soon as you rehydrate, you gain the weight back. A sauna was intended to help cleanse your body by making you sweat.

I think that it probably does help a little bit, since your metabolism rises along with your heartrate. Just be careful. You can easily (and quickly) get overheated and dehydrated. If you want to lose weight, I think you should just jump on the treadmill. It's safer than sitting in a sweat box.

Hi,
Sauna doesnt help in losing weight. It just brings about water loss. It takes 30-40 days to lose fat.
