Avenged Sevenfold: Christian Rock??

It's obvious that there are numerous references to the bible in Avenged Sevenfold's songs. Such as Beast and the Harlot. The beast in this song is the Anti-Christ and the Harlot refers to the Whor* of Babylon.(Mylot does not alow cursing so I am forced to blank this word out) If you don't believe me you can research it on your own. Needless to say not all of their songs are very "Christianly" such as Scream and Little Piece of Heaven, but is it possible that this is actually a Christian rock band?

They're not a Christian band, but they have thought provoking lyrics and take imagery from the Bible, but that's it, they aren't Christians.

I am christian and I like Avenged Sevenfold. I do not care wether they christian rock band or not, I am more concerned about their quality talent of musicality than debating wether they are christian or not because I think religion is a personal thing for each person.

The band members can go to church and be christian, or not go to church and be christian. What difference does it make if they believe in a God or not, the music is pretty great, no matter what references are made. I hate when people label and judge bands as christian or satanic, like it's some sort of crime to sing about problems that occur in life everyday. I'm not saying you label them but there are a lot of people who judge and decide if they wanna listen to them or not by what religion they follow. :\ tis a weird world

No, they are not a christian band, even though there are numerous references to religion in their lyrics. They just like to provoke thought with their lyrics. I love their music though. You can read all about them at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avenged_Sevenfold.

I think that Avenged Sevenfold shouldn't be labeled as Christian rock band even if they made some songs like Dear God and Little Piece of Heaven which contain "christian pieces". For example Blindside is labeled as Christian rock band (songs like Silence, Black Rose and many) but they created King of The Closet which is not Christian song. So if they are not labeled as Christian rock band on their official site, than, they are not Christian rock band:D.
