Yes, I agree with you that Ayurvedic medicines may be less harmful or say without any ill side effects than allopathic medicines. It is good that you rely on ayurdvedic medicines. I sometimes also take it, but if I feel that I am not getting well, I resort to Allopathic medicines. Allpathic medicines are not without side effect but such is the life in Metro cities that you cannot avoid them. BTW, which medicines do you use for curing cough and cold?

Hi! Dear! Your health drink appears good to me and hopefully it is very effective. I've tried Shathopladhichurna along with some warm water and I found it effective in cough and cold and besides it sometimes I take 'Khadirativati'. It is kind of small round tablets and it also gives quite a good relief in case of persistent cough.

hi deepak sometimes its impossible to avoid taking allopathic medicines. I am taking a health drink for cough and cold powder prepared by my mother in law. It consists of dry ginger, pepper,Jeera and coriander. I will add this to milk and boil it and then I will have it if then too my cough is not controlled I will take shithopaladhichurna suggested by my husband's cousin who is ayurvedic doctor. I will take a tea spoon of that powder with teaspoon of honey then it will be cured soon. happy myloting.

Hi Chaitra, Ayurvedic medicines are always good especially for women. Most probably I prefer to take ayurvedic medicines. In case of sudden and serious illness then I may depend on antibiotics because ayurveda may take little time for cure. I prefer ayurveda medicine for my elder son, younger son is not ready to take the same (he disagrees to drink ayurvedic medicine) so for him am depending antibiotics. The main advantage of ayurveda is it will cure the disease from the root so there no chance to reappear the same once cured. Now ayurveda is widely recognized as natural treatment.

They are supposed to be more effective. Unfortunately my experiences with ayurvedic medicines has been a bad one. On the two occassions that i used them, i got to know the hard way with side effects that they contained metals in one case adn steroids mixed in the other case. The worst part of it was that they were prescribed by supposedy reknowned ayurvedic doctors. Made me in ways become extremely careful about going to them.

Hi I think you have not consulted a good ayurvedic doctor. In olden days people had life span of more than 100 years its because of Ayurveda completely using plants and root for the medicine. Happy myloting.

Ayurvedic medecines are much more effective than antibiotics. I remember i was very ill, and i was taking antibiotics to get cured. I took if for three weeks but no results. Then an old lady recommend me to take ayurvedic medecine. I took it for three days and see an improvement. Then after having taking the ayurvedic medecine for one week, i was completely fine. Thanks to ayurvedic medecines.
