printer driver wont start

anybody has the same problem like this? and resolve this? please help...
i have a hp psc 1315 all in one printer and downloaded the driver from hp site.
when double clicking the installer it will extract, after that nothing happens
even manually double clicking the setup.exe file after extraction
if i manually point the extracted folder upon looking for drivers,
the scanner and printer will be installed but scanner is unusable
it will say that the scanning software could not be found or scanner is not connected
please make sure that your scanning software is properly installed.
but the scanner icon is found in my computer.

have u downloaded the right drivers i mean check the OS. drivers depends upon the OS and if you downloaded the right drivers then check either its full version or basic drivers and if it fails to solve then try downloading from some other site. there are many a sites providing drivers and other softwares....
