Today is one of the black listed day in Cricket and whole sports world. SL cricketers playing in Pakistan are attacked my terrorists. Few players are injured and also few policemen dies. Hope the players get well soon. But the bigger question remains. When after 26/11 in Mumbai, India pointed out the source of all these terrorism, the world had lukewarm response. They knew the truth but still just words are exchanged. Now will any team ever play in Pakistan? what is your view? What step the world nations should take towards Pakistan.

It was shocking...shocking..shocking.We should all condemn these type of attacks.I think no team will visit Pakistan in near future and Pakistan Cricket will suffer a lot. Icc has taken a good decision not sending indian team to tour pakistan .According to media they have planned to take hostage of Srilankam team. How terrible!
The srilankan cricketers luckily escaped. But killing innocent people isnt fair.

Any terrorist attack is always a black day. Sports and games is like the last frontier according to me which keeps people in friendly terms. And when such an incident happens it's extremely saddening.
I've been following this news since the morning and was quitte shocked to hear it.

It's sad, gross and pathetic! I condemn this and no team will ever go to Pakistan! I think, we need to take stronger stand and need to get the support of the world to fight terrorism. This is an international problem and i do not think anyone would ever endorse it. The fear is all things here get politicised and the matter gets diluted and digressed.
Sad!

I don't think terrorists should attack any innocent sports players and each country must beef up their security to make sure non of this happens.

what happened is just totally unexceptable !!
what stupid 'message' are these attackers trying to convey by attacking innocent people ?!..
proves to show that no one is safe anywhere.. even with police guarding them..
we dont know who is their target, and where they'll strike.. it is just sooooo sick !!

subha12,
Frankly speaking, this attack is already asking for it to happen and I am not the least surprised on the following grounds:
First, the world is simply not convinced by the questionable internal security control (the lack of it). I just sometimes do not know how people do not get it when all the controversial issues from the Al-Queda defection, since the Afghan issue there had been proof that the Al-Queda terror group had been hiding in Pakistan.
Secondly, there was the terrorist training camps, one of them the Mujaheddin who was responsible for the last Mumbai attack. Yet, the world can choose to be played into that the incompetent authorities by only verbal claims these is no such things with no proof or clue that the claims were false. Furthermore, what is so frightening is the fact that the Pakistan authorities have not stepped up in their efforts to weed out these terror cell groups and do their tidying up.
Thirdly, I just do not know what is on the minds and who is operating the International Cricket Council, where they can go without a hoot of caution in letting a questionable country host the competition when there are so many models to follow. Take soccer for example, the international organization like FIFA will simply pull out hosting privileges at the slightest hooliganism outbreak incident. So, I am also blaming the complacency and negligence from ICC here and that they are responsible for this unfortunate incident to have happened!
This is sad and should not have happened at all.

Very well written.Actually Pakistan will again ask for 'Proofs' to go on with there farce 'investigation'. No action will be taken. The world leaders are in deep slumber as again and again all these billion dollars of aide is given to pakistan as Military Aide. They will use it for growing the terrorist attacks and fight India with terrorists.

subha12,
No offense here, the authorities can call it or say what they want there but I just not going to be kind with any sympathizers with the errant party here. This blatant and outright open terror attack is just a show that they no longer deserve to be trusted anymore and I hope that their hosting privileges be withdrawn for the 2011 World Cricket Championships and other similar international conventions and exhibitions.
I just hope Pakistan can really do something about it before the international bodies pose a much more severe action like trade sanctions and really hurt their own country. I can understand and respect their religion but I cannot support their blind oblivion to the extent of letting violence breed. This is just karmic and they need to realize that they will eventually have to face their eventual consequence. Reaping what they sow I really hope they will be doing something more concrete than mere lip service.
It is just a sad day for those innocent lives lost and disappointment on the oblivion government.
