I don't know how many mylot users have lived in dubai but i did and i loved it. i studied in st.mary's and there are very very distinct things i remember about my childhood. Here's a short list: 1) Channel 33. I know cable is available in Dubai but if you live in a house you usually go for satellite which is also expensive. I loved that channel, even if there were old weird cartoons and endless horse races. 2) The best food was in a corner tea/coffee shop that cooked their own keema and made cheap but delicious tea 3) Indian, Syrian, Egyptian, basically Middle Eastern food is served alongside each other and you end up thinking it's "Dubai food" 4) You play cricket :) Whether in school, at home, in the park or wherever, you appreciate it Anyone else lived in Dubai or curious about what it's like?

I have never been in Dubai but i always want to go there one day. My husband was born in England but grew up in Africa, then he went to Dubai to work for over 11 years. In his eyes Dubai is an amazing city. As the slogo said what you can find in the world you always can find in Dubai. Dubai is a magic city. It seems have miracle every day. However i think some miracles of the city built up on the base of money. just when you are rich you can afford the treatment. I have a female friend she works in Dubai and she told me the economical crisit affected a lot on it. The business is getting down there. However i still wish i can visit it in the near future.

I spent almost half of my life in Dubai and consider it to be a home away from home. Although the climate here is not so good especially during summer season, it remains to be appealing to many. That's one of the reasons why many people across the globe are wanting to come here and start a living. Looking back, I would say that I have no regrets at all in opting to find my luck here. We've got a lot of theme parks and beaches here; while bigger malls are awesome, the nightlife is great too one might wonder if he or she is really in the Middle East.
