Why no more sound on my computer?

Last night the sound on my computer suddenly vanished. It's still not working today. I am just trying to find out the reasong for this. If I can still turn my speakers on, can they still be broken? Or could it have something to do with my actual computer? Just want to know all the possiblities...

This used to happen all the time with my old computer. Try reinstalling the drivers for the soundcard and restart the computer.

maybe ur sound card crash or something happens to the drivers... check it on control panel...

Hello wellin, if u tried every possibilities and still not working just re-install your sound card ( do you have the cd?) but bfore re-isntalling make sure that u have the cd ( installer) ...

It is best to check with the connections, and next you may re install the sound drivers properly. To check whether your sound card is working properly or not its better try in DXDIAG you type this in run.
