I have been learning English since I was little and until now I never think that I am good enough. I tried to learn from many media, from reading English books and novels, from writing stuffs in English. Talking to English natives, and joining forums like this. Of course I would need tutor to correct my grammar or maybe misplaced words or misspellings.
Being more active in conversations is the way to improve your oral ability and joining discussions, or forums, or maybe start to write articles would improve your writing skill.

I am not a native English as well. I am from Indonesia and not many people here talks in English. I have to learn myself unless I don't want to improve my English. I need it to earn money from the net, so I have to learn pretty hard for it. Good luck learning English, and don't give up.

Hello! I think your English is wonderful! My advice would be to keep practicing and using it. The more you use a language, the better you understand it. You could buy a book that you've already read, but buy it in English and try to read it. That way, you already know the storyline. :D Good luck!! I think you have very good English!!

It is good that you have the motivation to improve your English. I am lucky that English is taught in our school since Kinder (for kids 4 years old). I have developed my English skills though by reading English books and magazines. I try to take note of new words that I encounter. I list them and look up for the definition. I also write the sentence that used the word so that I will know how to use the word. I also take note whenever I am reading the grammar, especially the subject-verb agreement as this is the most common grammatical error. Aside from reading, writing should also follow. The MyLot discussions is one way to improve and another is blogging. Chatting with people who are well versed in English will also help you. Because you will tend to pick up words or sentences that the person use. And lastly, speaking. It will be a great help to converse in English as often as possible. This will polish your English communication skill - pronunciation and grammar.
I hope this helps. Have a great day!
