Is anyone here at mylot earning money by writing content for websites? If so, how much should be charged for a 500-700 word article? I have made several research on the Internet but I always get varied results. Others are charging too high like $100 or more. What do you think is the right price? Please share your opinion or knowledge on this subject. Thanks.

The price is varied since it depend on your article quality and your customer based. 500~700 words article can get $100 if you are selling to magazine and they accept it. However, the price is quite cheap for those freelancer writer, it is from $1~$10 for the 500~700 words article. The cheapest writer i hire before is $1 per 500 words, and the most expensive writer i used was $5 per 500 words

Thank you, lifeplayer, for your immediate response. Was the person whom you paid $1 per 500-700 article a good writer? How about the $5 per word person? Was there any difference with the quality of their writing?

Is is topic related. Normally for those general topic such as website review or some blogging article which not request very good research or knowledge then i will choose the cheap writer. Of course you can still see the different on the article structure and the content from the $1 and $5.

I would love to find a freelance writing gig where I could make $100 or more from one piece. I usually make anywhere from a few cents up to $20 (usually around $3-4) for articles that I have written on Associated Content that are around that length or maybe a little bit longer. So far that site has been the most successful site that I have written for so I have been active there on and off for a couple of years.

I would love, too. But I think that is too much for a 500-700nword article although I did see some sites charging more than that? I wonder if they ever get clients?
