Less Than 10 Page Views?

I hate it when I write something for Associated Content and nobody ever reads it. I currently have 3 articles that I wrote that have less than 10 page views on each of them and a couple of them are over a year old. One is a book review: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/211530/and_i_thought_i_had_it_bad.html?cat=38 One is a movie review: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/214001/his_day_will_come.html?cat=40 and one is a "Top 5" guide: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1496370/top_5_websites_for_nascar_fans.html?cat=15 I know now what not to write for Associated Content, but I can't help but feel like there must be somewhere else I could have published these and gotten more exposure. Do you have any articles that you wrote for AC that have less than 5 page views? If so, you should post them here and possibly get better exposure for them. What did you write about and do you still write this type of article even though they don't get many page views? Did you get upfront payment for these pieces? I got upfront payment for the "Top 5" piece, but not the others.

None of mine, that is because I read a lot of people, and they read me. Even if it is something that they wouldn't read. You have to subscribe to them, and build up people you enjoy reading. In turn they will read your too. Susan S on A.C. I will check some of yours out. Susie.

I think it requires some kind of good amount of Public Relation exercise and some luck so that we could be read at AC. Alternatively, you can send the link to some of your dear friends and may request them to read your valuable articles. Best of Luck!

How many friends and fans do you have on there? I will add you now. I know it seems a bit tedious, but sometimes when I have extra time (usually once or twice a month) I will go through and search for articles that interest me. As I read them, I will add the writer to my fans and subscribe, and politely ask that they do the same for me. I have gotten my page views up considerably this way. Something to think about for you if you have not done so. Best wishes! Off to read your articles...

Haha, thank you Bethany! That is a good idea. I have like 10 people following me now or so. I should go around and start following other people, do they get some kind of notification when this happens?

Hi Hcromer, as a new writer, I'm quite fortunate to exceed 100 page views within a month for one article. The rest of the articles have average of 20 to 30 page views. Guess writing is really a business. It is not just how you write, what you write but how you market it. Maybe make yourself known in the forum, requesting for comment on your articles will draw in more page views and expert opinions.

Interesting to read your posting. I´m thinking of joining AC, but hesitate due to the fact that i´m not a US citizen so I can´t be payed upfront. So it was interesting to know that they don´t get so much exposure if you don't work for it. I have been reading a lot of god helpful things on WAHM forum; write but this was very helpful to Thanks and good luck
