When to have your second child. My son just turned one on February. Now I am thinking I would like to get pregnant again. I would like our kids close in age.I want to start Now but my fiance wants to start in august. When is a good time do you think? FYI: I am twenty-seven and my fiance is twenty-eight. We are getting married 3/30/09.

I would like to get pergnant after the first baby became 1 or 2 years old. I don't want their age get a big or short distance.

My two older kids are 22 months apart in age. I was 18 months older than my brother. Having two little ones close in age does have it's benefits but it's also harder on you. If you can have the oldest out of diapers before the second child arrives it will be easier on you in that regard. You and your fiance should come to an agreement before getting pregnant though so there are no hard feelings on either side.

i have mixed emotions on that one but who doesn't. if you have them together they have someone to play with, but they don't get the special bond with the parents as an inividual child. if you wait, say 5 years, they get to have their own friends and their own lives but still have a sibling to be there for them. but then you have to go through the headache of childhood altogether, whereas having them closer together you can jump right back into it. lol
we waited 5 years and like i said we wish we would have had them closer together, but they are fine with the time in between them, they will always be in different schools so no embarassing moments for them.

hey congratulations.. you must be very excited about your upcoming wedding. anyway as long as you both are emotionally and financially ready there's not reason for you to NOT have the baby whenever you want. Just make sure you're physically healthy for the pregnancy just to make sure there will be no complications with baby. you may ask your doctor's opinion for this. you really have to talk with your partner and decide together when is the best time.
