Hi jazz_123,This is a very interesting topic you have raised for debate.Like most people i have absolutely no personal experience or knowledge of transgender operations and the people who live through and survive the extremely difficult life choices it entails. So for me to give an answer on this topic i would have to first make it known as i have that i have no personal experience of this particular subject and my whole answer is based simply on seeing people involved in these situations,Wether it be on a TV documentary or in a magazine or Newspaper.Right,My opinion is that,From the people i have seen who say they need a transgender operation,Yes of course it is ethical,Very much so,You have to ask yourself would anybody put themselves through such a thing if it wasn't absolutely needed,Because these people will know from the very beginning that many people will be negative about their needs,Also there will be people who are ignorant of the situation and in certain case's then even verbal abuse will take place,So for me if someone comes out and says they need this operation then they have already gone through so much pain and they are crying out for help,I really do believe it is possible for someone to be born in the wrong body,As it is called,And i would find it to be extremely odd for someone to want this operation just for the hell of it,You know,This will be something that they have thought over for years,And they will wholly believe this procedure will make their life more bearable,So for me yes,This is definitely an ethical thing to do.
