unable to post content...GRRRRRR

Seriously I am mad as heck right now. I just typed out a lengthy discussion and trust me it was a good one. I hit the submit button and I saw the dreaded red words "unable to post content" and I realised that I had gotten logged out while I was typing that lengthy discussion. I am 3 stinking points away from being able to copy/paste so my work that I just did is GONE. Now I am so mad that I cant even remember everything that I said in it before it disappeared.
So what irritates you?

I can believe that was really frustrating! I see now that you have earned the right to copy and paste, so you must be quite happy! It's a shame that happened right before you could save the work! I really look forward to that feature, too, but I'll hit it soon enough.
I have had very similar problems while doing my writing on the web. I write at eHow.com, and they had this incredably annoying glick in their publishing wizard that would not let you save you articles. It just gave you this crazy message that you were trying to enter in Java script. I must have lost about an hour or so of work, before I figured out a way around the problem, so I truly feel you pain on that one!
Congrats on reaching the big 500!

That sounds like it was a bit infuriating, lol, and that has happened to me. It's been awhile so it may have just been when I had fewer posts, but don't quote me on that. I'm sorry that you forgot all that you were going to say but hope that once you calm down you can remember and type it out, this time without it coming up with the error. As for what irritates me, I can't really be sure to be honest. I guess different things irritate me at different times, often times depending on my mood!

It does irritate me when I've typed out this big long discussion, and it goes poof for one reason or another...whether it be getting logged off, or the internet dying. Another way you could lose your discussion is if you've used illegal HTML that mylot doesn't recognize. That's a pain when that happens.

Oh why did it log you out?
Haven't had that happen for ages on here.
What irritates me today are those darn drivers that seem to get a kick out of driving through puddles just when I'm walking near one. It's pouring with rain here for the last few days and that happened this morning!
I got soaked! gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
Sorry - but thank you for asking!

I am sorry someone did that to you
I have been puddled before which is why I try to avoid doing it to others when I drive

Grrrr, right with ya! I get disconnected so often it isn't funny. Most of the time I have the sense to save it in Notepad first, but not all the time. And yeah, it is particularly irritating when it was a long post. Cause it just never seems as poignant the 2nd time around. I have learned to edit carefully so as not to make any enemies. Don't want my big mouth to get me into too much trouble.
But, I see that you have passed 500 now, so you can finally save your work. About time, eh?
I was getting logged out all the time after I changed my password, but that stopped happening and I still don't know why, but am extremely grateful that it stopped.
I would have to say that my slow dialup pisses me off the most.

Oh, I just remembered. PM's....they irritate me to no end as it takes 3 page loads to post one. They force you to 'preview', then 'submit', then 'tag' and I have had many of them just go "POOF"!, for some reason.

Oh my gosh, this irritated me beyond belief when I was under 500 posts. Like you, I had written out some lengthy posts and for one reason or another it didn't post, although it had nothing to do with getting logged out at the time. Now I always type out my posts in a separate program then copy and paste it onto mylot. I even wait until it has actually posted on the site before I get rid of it on the program I use. That way I don't lose any of the work I have done. Even before I hit 500 I did this a few times. That way I didn't have to think about what I had said and just retype it back in the box instead. It was a pain in the butt, but it was better than trying to remember word for word what I had written.

copying it somewhere else on works if you are able to paste it here
if you dont have a post count of 500 or more you cant copy/paste and its just a waste of time to try

Well from judging now with your points you can now copy/paste....LOL. If I know I'm going to be posting a long discussion or make a long reply I type it out on my text edit then do the copy/paste business..I do that too for the writing sites I write on...as a just in case.
What irritates me? Listening to the frucking phone ring a zillion times...I have my answering machine on 24/7 but still have to listen to the phone ring..usually the dumb telemarketers leaving a message to tell me they can reduce my mortgage (hmmm...don't own a house)---or can give me lower car insurance rates (no car)---anyway it's a distraction when I'm trying to write something and I lose my concentration every time the blasted phone rings..sooooooo I've resorted to taking the phone off the hook now...

Oh goodness! This has happened to me quite a number of times. It is so frustrating. Then I would try to remember what I wrote, as you mentioned, but I couldn't remember half of it or it ended up sounding really stupid, or not nearly as good as the one which was lost... Horrible!
Sorry that happened to you, but, on the bright side, at least now you can copy and paste! Good reminder to do that, especially when posting a lengthy topic... Thanks for the reminder! Best wishes.

Ooh - that's so annoying!!! I hate it when that happens! I've had it happen a couple times to me. I also hate it when I type out a long email and then try to send it and something goes wrong. Has that happened to you? I know exactly what you mean about not remembering everything you wrote. When that happens to me, I'm never able to duplicate what it was I said the first time. It never turns out as well. Normally I don't even try to duplicate it - I either send a shorter different email or don't even post on the discussion I was trying to post on.

Well it happens many times with me too, its more dreadfull with me i guess then lol. because everyday suddenly at any times here they just cut the lights off, for 5 min and then it comes again lasts for 2 to 3 min and then again goes off for more 3 min and then this is done atleast for 5 to 8 times and then it stops and the moment again i am ready to give my posts the lights suck away for more than half and hour and then i am here more irritated than i was.ol but then i make it a point that i will post and then only take breath.its like me and the power fight everyday to win, and lastly i win...
