Today is 3/3/09. The square root of 9 is 3. And if you multiply both of the 3s in todays date you'll get a 9. No Im not a geek but a friend told me that it was Square Root Day. She told me that she heard it on a radio. I heard some other people talking about it and they heard it on the radio. Its pretty cool. the next Square Root Day is 7 years from now, 4/4/16.

heard the same thing guess it only happens 9 times a century and we missed 2/2/04 and like you said the next is 4/4/16. That is pretty cool that math nerds have a holiday all to their own. the best part is once we get by 2016 the dumbing down of this country means 99% of the people will not know the next one.

Lol. I didn't realize 2/2/04 went by. Wow I guess I wasn't all geeky then. Wow I didn't know it only happents 9 times a century. There should be some time of celebration with a cake shapped like a calculator. Or better yet shaped like a square root symbol.

I can't remember the station. I never really notice. It is pretty amazing when you think about it. I wonder who discovered this holiday.
