Yesterday I enjoyed a snow day. I was happy because I needed to finish some homework that I hadn't completed and study. There was only half an inch of snow but since I live in Atlant GA people freak out at any sign of snow flakes. Im from Colorado and I am used to going to school in 6 inches of snow. But down here they cancel school if there is half an inch of snow or if there is ice on the road. I think it was unnecessary to close school but hey Im not complaining. I got a chance to relax and get some z's. How are your snow days? Do you even get snow days?

Hi! lanlan011! I am up here in Sumter, South Carolina. And we had snow in January plus sleet. They closed the schools that day too. It was delays and cancellations. I love to get snow. I just wished that I could live in another state. I think that I would love the cold and not the heat! I have heard aboout the snow on the news. There were saying that we will be getting snow in the south. I know that most South Carolininas freak out when they hear snow.. They are even scared to drive!
But, I guess that is everywhere that you go?

You live right next door(state wise). I watched the news and they did say the snow was heading right there. I wish we could get some of the good snow that can last more than a day. I would love to be able to make a snow man. I haven't made a snow angel in years. I should go north for the winter.

I'm in Southern Virginia now, after living in Pa for 4 years. It was kinda funny, everything was closed down yesterday, and most schools were closed today. They are still on for a 2 hour delay tomorrow. And watching these idiots (sorry) try to plow the streets, I was laughing. Funny how your view changes after you have lived in snow country lol.

Lol. Im trying to get used to life down here but I enjoy seeing ppl freak out over the little snow we get. And every one gets excited. I knew a boy who first saw snow when he was 11 years old. When he first told me I was amazed because when I was like a toddler I would play in snow.

I'm up in Chicago and there is very rarely call for a snow day. It seems that we have gotten quite a bit of snow this winter. But, we just grab our shovels and get movin. You being from Colorado, I'm sure you understand. We actually have a better chance of things getting canceled if there is severe wind chill. As far as I am concerned, spring cannot get here soon enough.

Yes I do understand but its a whole different world down here in Georgia. Can you believe people were at the stores buying up all the water? My brother works at a grocery store and he told us about how a ton of people were there freaking out. My mom and I laughed at them. Its very hilarious because the snow only lasts a day. I'm so used to going about like a normal day. But atleast I got to take a break.
