I got bad news
Matt's (the love of my life) doctor said he didn't like the tests on his lungs or glands and sent him for other tests to rule out cancer,
we have to wait for the result,
this scares the hell out of me.
Matt has two grown up kids, 26 and 24 and their mother is dying of cancer right now, can you imagine if they find out that there father has cancer to.
I just can't think about this now.

thanks ellie the nodules will have to be operated on, because they are preventing him from breathing properly, but he doesn't believe it is cancer so we just have to wait and see.

It's best not to get too wound up about this, my friend. Sometimes, the doctors give you the worst scenario so that it doesn't hit so hard where tumours are found to be malignant. Don't hold onto their every word is what I'm saying. Even they won't know until the tests come back, so it's not worth the agony.
Hugggggggggggs to you, my friend. Try some chamomile tea... sip it slowly and try to stay calm about this... I'm sure Matt will appreciate your support, rather than the shock element. He needs that right now... imagine how he's feeling if you feel panic-stricken. I know it's hard... my close friend has been walking on eggshells too. He had twenty-six pounds of tumour removed from his stomach, eight years ago now. They couldn't get it all, and it came back to his liver once or twice, but they've managed now, they think, to get it all, and he's survived a 50/50 situation for eight years, which has now turned around to 80/20. So you see, with a little support and belief, even if it is what they think, he can get through it!
Meanwhile, I'm sending my healing energies to both of you, both spiritual and physical, in the hope that you will find the strength to come out of this, with renewed hope. Brightest Blessings my dear friend... keep the faith! xx

thanks for your concern, Matt is not worried at all, we are just taking it in stride and he agrees he is not going to tell him mom or children to upset them until he gets the results back, cancer or not he will need an operation but he will tell them after the results come back.

Right you are to just not think about this now. Wait for the results and remain as positive as possible.
I'm so glad you came here to share this for us and look for support. We can all be thinking positive for you and wishing you the best. Be strong, my friend.

thanks for asking hon, he has to go for the tests, he hasn't gone yet, they told him it was a long wait, so it can't be that serious or he would have passed in front of everyone else.

Well that's good to hear. Even better would be if he had the tests and it was all good results. Hang in there...

I am so sorry winterose. The worst thing is not knowing, this is what I have found it life. Not knowing. Once you have found out what it is then you begin to deal with it and discuss the options. I do hope that it is not cancer. I will be praying for your partner. Blessings

that is not necessarily always the way people can be born with cancers too.
And some cancer the researchers do not even know what causes them.
