I don't think that there is much of a difference. Most of mine don't have table of contents. I don't like them. I pulled one off of my lensography yesturday so we will see. Both of my html and css lenses are close together in rank. In fact some of my most recent lenses have managed to get onto the top section of my lenses rankwise. They are in the area of tier 3, but still they are close to 2.

I am not fond of them either. In fact one of my lenses has so much info, I thought the TOC would just clutter it more. I am only putting them back on just to see if more traffic comes. It cant hurt, who doesnt want more traffic?

I have three html and css related lenses within squidoo. My top one which is hold tier one based on average has a table of contents. My second html does not have a table of contents and is holding onto tier 2 based on average. If there was no averaging, both would be in tier 1. The third one is in tier 3 based on average.

It would make sense to add a table of content regardless of the added revenue: some of my lenses are getting rather long and force people to scroll down... Thank you for the head up.

It does make sense, but the TOC can be quite long and looks cluttered too. Besides, if you have good content, people will keep reading. At least thats what all the squid tips tell me.

Its a site that you can write lenses. They are mini websites. You can write about what you know and add modules that can make you money. It takes time to make money through them though. It took me a few months to start making money through them but ever since I bring in something each month, but its not a whole lot but the longer you stick with it, the better chance of making more money. Its not easy money.

I am starting to like the TOC too. It does make it faster to find the info.

I didn't know that so I will have to try & do this - maybe it will help me to get more people viewing my lenses too.
