Do you offer a dowry to your wife's family or do you ask for a dowry from you husband when you got marriage?
what is your dowry ?
do you think it is necessary to ask a dowry ?

Dowry lost its importance where I am a long time ago, and so it was not an issue. But in my family it is expected that the brides father give the couple a gift of money, and so mine did. While it was not a large sum it was still helpful to us as we started our lives together and I will continue the tradition by having my husband give if we have any daughters.

i belong such a place where DOWRY is a such a issue due to that many ladies lost their lives,in next november2009 i m going for marriage and i straight forward told my wife(becoming)that i will not any dowry.
