How often do you work overtime? Have you ever worked overtime but been paid for nothing? I worked for an engineering design company, it's very frequent to work overtime, and we usually got nothing for it. Does this happen to you?

Fortunately, I all got paid working overtime in all my passed jobs. I would have no motivation to work overtime for somebody if I don't get paid...

Yep. My job never pays us overtime because we are a summer job and for some reason or other they don't have to pay us overtime. I don't mind staying late because I love it up there (I work at a water park) and I always have a ton of fun. There is always something amusing going on and the people are great. I hope to find a job that has such great people when I graduate college and have to get a "grown-up" job. LOL

no, i don't like overwork. when i work off, i go home at once.
i think you must refuse your boss asking. if you refuse definitely,
he will not ask you again. if you shy to say, he will cheat you.

Before, l ever worked a few months of overtime for my company doing accounting works and not getting paid for the work done. One of my ex-colleague had resigned and l had to take over her job until they found a suitable candidate. My boss knew that l had worked very hard to update everything until the new candidate came but he just kept quiet. This is my first experience working for a stingy boss.
