it is not as pretty as iPhone, but the T-mobile G1, the first smart phone to run google's sleek new android operating system, has a slick slide out keyboard, a big bright screen and alot of power. The google phone supports a load of application downloaded from the online android marketplace games and programs like encyclopedias, guitar teaching tools and time wasters like Pac-Man and easily handles graphics-heavy applications such as google maps, web browsing and videos. The endroid marketplace is not as robust as the iphone application store yet, but someday it will be, as more android phones hit the market and developers start churning out apps.
The T-mobile G1 features a full QWERTY keyboard, 3G Support, Wi-Fi, GPS and bluetooth. The google android operating system offers good integration with google application as well as access to the amazon MP3, store and Youtube. As more application become available, the G1 is also become the more powerful smartphone for all types of users.

Just like you said, Android is not mature yet. However as a newcomer, it is a good performance on G1. I am sure it has unlimited potential and it will be prosperous in the near future. There is another problem, its high price, I am so admire you that you could afford it.
