I would love to do all my household work myself but my health does not permi it.I have this problem of rhumatism.I also have to go to office. So I have to depend on a maid for help. But the maid I have is really God given.Just like a family member now.Cant think what I will do without her.

Even if I had the money to pay someone to clean I would rather do it myself .
I would be the type of person that would clean the house before she got here so she wouldn't see how messy I can be , ha!
Now a cook , that might be nice !
pickwick I understand your need for a little help. My daughter had Arthritis and when she has bad days I wish she had help . She lives far away from me and I can't be there to give her a hand . I'm glad you have a nice helper that you trust.

Hi Beachstarz! My mother used to do the house hold work when she was home. She managed the house really well and kept it so neat and clean. But now she is with my sister who needs her help as she just had a baby.I tried to keep the house the way she had kept but I couldnt and have to rely on maid. She will be happy when she comes home this time and sees it so clean. But I cook the food myself. My husband and kid love the food I cook however I make.

We can't afford a maid. But even if we could, I'd prefer keeping myself busy and keep the house on my own. Running a house is never boring, to me.

Even when I was working full time, I did not want to have a maid. After all, there are only two of us at home, my husband and I. Maids are more trouble than help; after all, you can't really trust them when there's no one at home (when both of us were working during the days). So now that I'm working part-time, I would have more time for household chores!

I do household chores by myself except for laundry and ironing stuff where I ask someone to do it for me every week.

Do the housework myself , no point in getting a maid when we can do it ourselves

Wow, I couldn't imagine having a maid. I'm not woohoo crazy about cleaning but I really enjoy having a break from work and still being able to be productive. When I clean I just turn up the music and sing my heart out. It's fun and doesn't take focus or anything. I can also do it when I'm angry, and take all my anger out on a dirty floor or counter. I love doing mindless work. It's so refreshing. I think even when I get to a point in my career when I'm super busy I'll just have to make time to clean. Because it gives me time to unwind and just be me.
