Yes I do and I have also started a post about this topic some time ago. I think it's good to write it down so that we know where our money goes to and what to cut down and what to increase. I think this is a good habit.

Exactly! We can plan and make budget for the coming month, and save few bucks too by cutting down on unnnecessary expenditures.Writing down or keeping a note about the list of expenditures surely had helped me a lot to maintain my monthly budget and keep track of buying and spent items. It surely is a good habit.

If you mean writing it down in my check register yes. Though I don't do it daily I do everything on payday as I usually know how much I have to spend each pay period and when it's gone it's gone.

Well for me i do tend to keep a list for my grocery and marketing. But this is not only a daily basis because we do tend to shop only once a week, or during the day off of my husband. It is beneficial to have a list rather than to pick up items not necessarily needed and this will destroy your budget. If you were like me, i would keep a list for things to buy so that i will not be tempted to buy things i don't need.

I don't like it but I keep doing it.I spend too much a day and I always forget where I spend money on.So I decide to write my daily shoping expenses.Though I don't like it,it is helpful. And through it I can save money .Because through it I can know how much money I have spent clearly. Then I can control myself to buy less things

I always write my daily expenses and also my income in a book. It gives me a lot of advantages. First, with those notes i can track my bigest expense on every dollar cash out. Second, i can make allocations of need againts my income (budget). Third, it really can makes me economical :D

I have a record of my expenses, though I don't update daily, maybe weekly. I usually note this down in my diary/planner.

I used to maintain a diary when I was in hostel, now that I have my notebook,I maintain each and every little detail about my expenses in excel sheet. It makes things easier for me to figure out things and managing it properly when it comes to financial matters.Actually it is a good practice. One can calculate and maintain monthly budget. You know where your money is going and had been used. You don't have to sit and wonder by the end of the day, where did all my money go?Good day!

Yes. I am absolutely clinically perfect with this- to the last rupee. But, I don't write in any books- I write them in a digital organiser. The advantage is that you don't have to calculate, where I generally goof up. Also, my digital organiser allows classification of expenses into Travelling, Meals, Stationary, etc..
