Unfortunately i never got to actually have my water break. it was broken for me. i had to have a c section and one of the parts that i remember was the doctor saying nice clear bags of fluid, that's good. so i missed out on that amazing thing! i really wish it could have been a natural delivery because i feel like i missed so much :(

With my first son, I had two bags of water.. oddly that happens with some women. I bent over to pet my dog, and it broke like a water balloon hit the floor. Went to the hosptial only to find out that I had two and the other one was still intact and good. When it was finally time to have my son, I went a day over due and it was broke in the hosptial. With my little girl she was born a month early, and they induced to go on to get her out because she wasn't gonna stay put, even with medicine, and they broke my water to start the induction. Though, 31 hours later a emergancy c-section was done.

For my first daughter I was at home I'd just sat down to go to the bathroom and my water broke. With my second daughter I'd been having contractions for awhile and I thought I'd take a shower. I stepped into my bathroom and my water broke. Would you all mind taking a survey for me? It's at www. surveymonkey .com /s.aspx?sm=5Ev4MGTbki6lRiaI3J7PUg_3d_3d Thanks.

I never had an experience with water being broken. When I delivered my son last October 2008, I never had my water broke but it was just inside. I delivered my baby with the help of the doctors who broke my water. The water just burst after the baby went out. I started having the greatest pains of contraction at around 3am and my baby went out at exactly 6:25am. I started having pains a day before. So I am glad I never had my water broke. My husband was with me during that time and in case I got my water broke I am just at home so there is no problem with that.

I am so glad I wasn't the only one who had that problem! =] Towards the end of my pregnancy it was horrible. Especially when I was getting sick. My daughter was right on my bladder. I was actually at the hospital when my water broke. I had a rough labor, almost 72 hours in the hospital going back and forths. Long story, but I was about a week early with contractions every minute and a half. They finally kept me at the hospital after going 3 other times prior to the last time. Come to find out the outer bands they put on you wasn't picking up my contractions and they had to put something inside to read my true contractions. I kept having to use the bathroom towards the end at the hospital and I went in and my fiance was sleeping. I got up after wrestling around with my wires, tubes, etc. and I just felt like I was having an accident. I yelled at my fiance to come help me clean myself up because I didn't want the nurse to because I was embarrased. Well it wouldn't stop coming out if you know what I mean. haha. Well he called the nurse and they did the strip test on the bathroom floor and told me my water had broken. This was about an hour before they were going to go ahead and break my water to get the baby to come. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section though due to the fact that she was too big. I wasn't lucky to have a doctor to suggest a final ultrasound. =[ It's okay though, my daughter is here with me and is healthy and thats all that mattered. I wish you the best of luck! It's so exciting and all your pregnancy "problems" are so worth it when you look at your little one for the first time! Goodluck! And best word of advice, just relax, sleep while you are waiting & breathe!

I've never experienced my water breaking unexpectedly. With my first the dr. broke my water to help my induction along (didn't help had c-section), my second was a scheduled c-section, as will be this one that I'm expecting now. I know when they broke my water with my first it felt like I pee'd all over myself.

Hi erricaalisa.Congratulations on your coming baby.I'm sure you're so excited and can't wait to see your little angel. To answer your question,I'm kinda sad because I didn't get to experience this since I had to be induced as I was one week overdue at that time.I was in the delivery room for 17 hours before my baby finally came out.The waiting was all worth it...I can't even express how happy I was seeing my baby for the first time. It's nice that you already have a name for your baby boy.Don't forget to update us. Thanks and take care! Happy mylottin!

my water broke at home in bed as well. I thought i had an accident cause i could kinda hold it in but it just kept leaking out. They say statistically most womens water breaks in the evening/night while in bed or resting. something to do with being relaxed. So if your worried about it happening in public dont cause odds are you wont. Though it has been known to happen.

Mine broke at home about 10 minutes after my husband and I went to bed. It wasn't a huge gush of fluid like I thought it would be thoguh. by the time we drove the 12 minutes to the hospital it had completely broke.
