There are times in our lives that we feel being depressed without knowing the reason or may be we experience it because we are bombarded with many challenges. When you are in this situation, what do you usually do?Any ideas or suggestions?

In my experience when depressed I will shut down emotionally and the things I once got enjoyment from I no longer do. Even the most simplest of things become difficult and challenging to do. Such as speaking to people in a social setting. Going out for the night seems pointless and trivial. When depressed one will usually prefer to be alone most of the time. I would sleep long hours and have trouble getting up in the morning. Your energy levels drop dramatically and you feel like doing nothing at all.
Life feels boring and you begin to wonder is this life worth living.
