Have you ever cried in public?

I hate crying in public, but it happened once or twice in my life. And there was no reaction at all from people around.I thought that I deserved it because I was weak and no one should see me in this mood.I've noticed that my weakness shown in public provokes cruelty towards me.Like in wild life, you know. You're weak - you'll be my dinner soon.
Maybe it's just me.
What are your experiences?

There is nothing wrong I suppose to cry, and cry at any place. It gives you a great relief. Many men are shy of crying in public but that is too bad. If you feel like crying do cry and there is no penalty for crying. I have cried in public several times when I have seen my dear and near leaving this mortal world.

"Boys don't cry" is a traumatising and wrong tradition.Be brave, be a man, etc.My father was strong and he cried sometimes.
Terrible things happen when people keep their pain inside for a long time.I wasn't taught to keep everything inside me, but I started doing this when I faced the indifference.
You're very broad-minded and deep thinking person, you know that?I'm glad to meet people like you in Mylot.

Crying is not a sign of weakness. Nope I cried a people came to me asking what was wrong. I do the same also if I see someone crying..it's not a sign of weakness but of pain

It shouldn't be a sign of weakness, but in my society it still is.Strange.I've noticed while being abroad that I get much more attention of strangers than I do here.

Where do you live where this so-called..crying is weak..society. Crying has been proven very effective to help relief of stress etc. and cleans out the body too. Nothing wrong in having a good cry..people cry when happy to..so is that weakness? No it isn't.

Hi silver..I have experienced both, once or twice when I have cried in public someone would ask if I was alright..it was nice to have someone concerned enough to ask..and also I have had people just ignore or walk past without saying a thing..mind the times I have cried in public have been because of being upset or vulnerability in a situation...littleowl

One day I was out to lunch with my Boss, which was a semi annual event and he told me I didn't get the transfer I had requested. things had been so bad in my life at that time that I burst into tears, I had never done that before and I felt so bad for the poor man but i just couldn't stop. Worse than that a friend saw me and called my Father and told him some strange man had made me cry in public. By the time i got back to my office I had calls from my Dad and from my Husband. All in all it was terrible. But hey, I live through it.

If something make me sad ,I will go out to cry alone.I don't like to cry in pulic and make people around me.
But sometimes I cry in public when I couldn't help myself .In my mind .One time I watch a MTV with my classmates in our classroom.I cried...
Maybe it let me remind something...

I dont like crying in public and make people around me wonder what horrible thing could have happened to me or interested in knowing what is happening, but i had cried a few times in public when i was a teenager due to some issues with the person whom i loved, now i realize how silly it was of me to cry for such things

As a teen I was very sensitive, but I would go out of the class room to cry alone. It would be silly now, but it was the end of the world then.Later in life serious things happened and didn't cry.
