The latest in the Rihanna / Chris Brown saga has the pop star talking to the R&B star again.
Reports are that Rihanna's protege Jay Z is upset over this (even reportedly contacting Tina Turner and asking her to speak to the young pop star about the dangerous of staying in an abusive relationship, and so are her family members.
It was also reported that Rihanna is hiding the marks from the abuse with makeup and is considering nose surgery to correct apparant damage to her nose. Neither has made any public appearances, so right now this is all speculation, but regardless of the exact details, this does not set a good precedent for female fans of the popular singer.
Chris Brown's official public response has been "words can not express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired...I am seeking counseling from my pastor and family..." It seems like his trying to save his career, as some radio stations have already stopped playing his songs and he has lost a few endorsement deals.
So, what's the verdict? Personally I think Brown is trying to save face and his career, and if Rihanna is ready to take him back so easily, then somebody needs to wake her up fast before the next time is the last time.
What do you think?

I think that spousal abuse is something that NO woman should put up with. Even if Chris just had a bad day and was upset after and promises never to do it again it doesn't matter! If he has done it once he can do it again. I am not one who will put up with people taking advantage of me and would have left and pressed charges immediatly. I really just wanted to knock some sense into Rihanna when i heard that she and Chris were back together. Hopefully she own't regret it later...

Sadly, it is common for women in abusive relationships to go back to the person who hurt them. A research says that women usually go back 6 to 8 times to an abusive relationship before they decide to finally leave the guy. If Rihanna continues this, she may be the next Whitney Houston. Now, Whitney is barely picking up the pieces after more than a decade of staying in an abusive relationship with Bobby Brown (who happens to have the same last name as Rihanna's abusive boyfriend). I just wish Rihanna wakes up from this nightmare and run for her life. If Chris Brown hurt her once, it is bound to happen again, and again.
