hello everybody here at Mylot.
this morning i was at my part-time job just working away, minding my own business, when all of a sudden i heard the front door slam shut and the boss' wife yelling at the cat, lol. the cat made a mad dash for the front door when that she went to open the door. lmao lol i sat there for a minute and then i thought, well i had better go downstairs and outside to see what is going on. i did, and when i got outside the cat was up under a trailer that they have parked in their drive-way. lol and she wasn't coming out for anything. the boss' wife went to grab at her from underneath the trailer and the cat bit her hand good. so she went back inside to try to bribe the cat with some tuna. we were both out there for about fifteen minutes or so trying to get the cat. lol finally the cat jumped up on the inside part of the trailer and then she grabbed her and took her inside. lol the cat was up under the trailer hissing at us. like we were the bad guys. lol
so tell me, when was the last time that your cat made a mad dash at the door like that and escaped outside?
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

Hi TnWoman,
My cats goes out all the time so I don't have much problems with it but I do feed the birds with bread everyday in the front of the house and that is when I make sure the ny male is indoors so she won't chase the birds away. Love and hugs.

I don't have any cats or kittens. I do have a small dog though. Sometimes she tries to run outside when we open the door. I have to constantly tell my son to hurry up and close the front door so that she won't get out. If she does get out though she'll usually just stand on the front porch and look back at us. LOL I guess she knows that she is supposed to always be on a leash when she goes outside.

I don't have a cat but for some reason my dogs will run like crazy every time the gate to the yard gets left open, usually when I pay a guy to mow my yard. Why in the world would they do that? They get love, food, toys and everything good here and even have a doggie door so they can come and go as they please. Luckily, it rarely happens and they have tags with their name, address and phone number on them!
I hope your boss' wife heals up soon, cats have such sharp little teeth!

Of my four cats, only one was ever an outside cat. He does make a dash for it now and then. The funny thing is that he doesn't take off. He just walks over to the grass, lets us pet him, eats some grass, walks around and then lets us bring him back in. I think he remembers how bad he had it before we adopted him. He likes the outdoors but he doesn't want to end up starving again.

Last night the brat cat got out. Lucky for me she came right back in. She went out the front door, went in the side yard. I went to the back door, shook the cat food and called her, she came back in. I am worried about her going ut and finding a boyfriend, I don't want that.

I would have had a fit if my own cat bit me. Wasn't the owner a bit miffed when the cat bit her hand? Our cat, who is now gone, was never outside. She was an indoor pet. She never tried to go outside when we opened the door. Think she knew it was comfy in the house and liked it better.
I have a friend who was bitten by her cat. She ended up in the hospital for about 5 days. The bite area became infected and she has a nasty scar on her hand. How is your bosses wife doing today?
Take care,

It's a good thing that my cat never got out of the building, since we live right in the middle of town, and he's never been outside in his life, except to ride in the carrier, up the street to the vet's. LOL He did get out my basement door, into the hall, and ran all the way up to the third floor. That was interesting, trying to get him back down.

Hi Tnwoman! haha..Naughty cat! I guess the cat just wanted to get some fresh air outside even for just a few minutes. I don't have a cat but my grandmother has three at the moment. The cats usually go for the door whenever they get the chance. However, my grandmother just lets them since they really just stay within the yard.
Take care and have a wonderful day!

One morning when I was leaving for work, my husband went downstairs to start the car. I opened the door, then remembered something, and went back in the house. I evidently did not close the door all of the way and Jake, my male cat got out. When I opened the door to go downstairs, I saw that my husband did not close the outside door, and lo and behold there was Jake standing outside on the porch. That really scared me because Jake is afraid of outside noises, cars, trucks, buses etc. I was afraid that a bus would come by and scare him, and he would run into the street. I ran back inside the house and grabbed a bag of treats, that worked, Jake came running happily upstairs.
That really scared me, now I always make sure that the door is closed completely.

When cat wishes and human wishes collide bad things, like bits and scratches happen.
The cat has a different view of outside then humans do. They find it a great adventure and don't know the dangers involved in a stroll down the street or even into the next door yard. Have patients and watch the door for the sneaky cat.

My cat used to be very friendly with the strangers when she was a kitten. but since she got fixed she changed. she became scared of strangers. when my home comes visitor, she kept herself stayed at a corner and stayed alert. She was not like that before she got fixed. she played with visitors. I used to have two and they rushed out of the door whenever I opened the door. one of them was lost a few months ago and now I just have one left. of course she does not dash out when the door open like before.
