Is It Wrong To Proclaim Your Faith

I am just coming from a discussion where the writer said that it is wrong to proclaim your faith and not acting it. But I am against this because there are alot of persons who has been baptized in various religion across the world and then it ends there. After baptism the senior members of the church don't encourage the new recruits to attend bible study. When they see their falling brothers/sisters instead of giving them words to encouragement and pointing to the biblical stories that can encourage this falling soldiers they act in a unchristlike believer. Do we as christian sit with other denomination and discuss the bible with them. Isn't it that we are worshipping the same God. Are we here to murmur and criticize or Jesus told us that we should spread the gospel and encourage others. I think that the wrongs that are happening in the church come about because instead of being the truth soldiers that we should be we make the flesh over the spirit. I would like to encourage all senior christians in churches worldwide to be like Noami and Ruth teach the youngster the way of the Lord and then what is happening to these baby in Christ will cease because then the devil will see that his power has truly end when Christ was risen from the Grave.

I think the only time it is wrong is after you've proclaimed your faith and someone has told you they are not interested. This was a big problem in the 60's and 70's with the Jesus Freaks running around that didn't understand the words "no thanks". I once had one of them get on my car hood to prevent me from going away without listening to their sermon. I offered to let him meet his Maker sooner than he expected to I applaud those who wish to share their Gospel, but I do not applaud those that are too stubborn after a person has said they are not interested

This is the same problem others have but if he/she was following the scriptures Jesus has respond to this action. We are not to force the gospel on anyone instead we are to shake off the dust from our shoes. Christians are not following the scriptures and this is the reason why alot of them fail in their christianity. It as was last night a gentle came to me and asked me if I want to share the gospel and before I answered he move away. We need to know what is best for us and then we can go out there and do it properly. Thanks for the imput Fwidddy

christian evengelist or ordinary ones should really set an example to other beginners. Discernmet to share gospels to others makes a lot of sense.

I strongly believe that we must not and be afraid to share our faith and minister to others. The bible state that if we are ashamed to stand up for the Lord Then Jesus will not defend us before his father. When we accept Christ as our saviour we come in the church as a babe, so the elders and pastor must ecourage bible study inorder to prepare us for evangelism. God has save us that we can help to populate his kingdom, by bringing in sinners to him. We have to help to spread the good news of Christ. So the elders must be there to teach the younger christian the way of christ and we inturn teach others, so its a process.

sharing and proclaiming depends upon situations. Christian really needs wisdom and understanding before compassion take place. So more advices and bible growth scriptures to live. Just like christ, he let them observe and answer them when they ask.

I think we have to proclaim our faith AND act it as well :) I cant say Im a Catholic but not behave as true Catholic does, neither can I say Im Jesus follower but not follow His teachings :) I agree with you in saying that after the baptism, people should be encouraged to go do bible study group or enhance their faith. This is actually the job of the godmother or godfather. As the spiritual parents they need to ensure to teach these new baptized people, or at the very least encourage them to go to bible study group, praise and worship gatherings, church masses and all those stuff :) I believe if we all go back to the bible, and for a while forget about the denomination, but instead really focus to the true teaching of Jesus which is the law of LOVE, then there shouldnt be differences at all. After all we learned from the same bible, and of course the same GOD
