Getting help from Mylotters

Ok this might sound kind of wierd but I was wondering if you mylotters would rather post a discussion here on Mylot instead of asking our family ofor help. Personally, I would rather post a discussion because when I ask someone I know for advice, they seem to think that I don't know anything about raising kids and that they have to give input on every other aspect of raising my child.

sometimes you don't want to ask family for help, cause you what kind of response you get from them. here you can get a variety of answers and try what you like and not worry about the rest. plus it may be more comfortable, not having to face people.
i'd ask my boss for help at times before my parents, it's easier to talk to them most of the time.

I talk with my sister-in-law quite a bit, but I also ask questions on here. I'm not sure if it's that I'm more comfortable, as it is that I can get multiple points of view.
