hi friends.gilchrist is well known for walking off if he had knicked the ball without waiting for the umpires signal.i dont remember exactly but in one of the recent matches, dhoni walked off when the umpire thought he is not out.and ofcourse the commentators appreciated him.thats goood.i admire tendulkar and yup he also walked off during some instances but he doesnot always do it.during the srilanka test series,he knicked the ball but stood his ground.so seems walking off is chosen by the batsmen when he is sure his wicket wont affect his teams victory.wat do u think?

Those two great wicket keepers have set a great example for everyone to follow. However, it is not wise to walk off in such situations because if you are not out and if you stand your ground, you will be penalised by the ICC. My point is that if you take the batsman's word when he says he is out, why don't you take the same batsman's word when he says he is not out?
So, all in all, a few individuals might be dry honest when they walk but this is not reason enough for all the players to be honest.I don't think this thing would work in the long run, especially when the stakes are very high for a match, such as a World Cup final.
