I do tag the discussions 99% of the time. It serves as a keyword for better searching capabilities in my opinion. It also helps in arranging information for quicker access, this is my best speculation being a software proffessional. There could be other benefits as well. I also think that one can read the tags when the question is posted on the discussions page and get to know more about the discussion without having opened it completely. As tagging doesn't take much time, it has become almost a habit of mine to tag the discussions. Have a nice day!

Hundred Percent i do tag my discussions and it says here that the admin would have been more appreciative if we will use to tag our discussions.
Maybe you can find a lot of users here just posting their questions into different interest ex: Pizza as topic, and then someone posted Pizza on the Sports section area where it supposed to be only for discussions for sports.
I think that if we use tag, the admin would have been easy to delete such topics posted on a different interest area.

I invariably tag my discussions and responses. If you give some tags and when you go back to the same post again for posting comments or counter-comments, you are not asked again to tag it, and it saves your lot of time. If you skip it once, you will have to skp it every time you go to that particular discussion, so it will be better to put atleast 2-3 tags.

Yes, I do tag my responses when I reply to certain posts. I don't know what is the real purposes to it but I guess it makes it easy for mylot to put the discussions in proper interest categories.

Hello ivan. I do not always tag the discussions that I respond to. I tag them once in a while. I don't think that there is any problem if we skip tagging the discussions, but to our own discussions, we have to tag them, as is required, I guess. Anyway, I wish you to enjoy mylotting to the full. Take care, friend.

MYlot has a facility to tag all the discussions and replies based on its topic, so that someone from other users can able to search for that tag to see all these discussions. Its easy way to search discussion and response for most suited topics and there is facility to "Add your interest" as well. If suppose you are very much interested about specific topic then you can add it to your list, so that you can easily pick it up for the next time and you can find other discussions from the same topic on the added interests. Just tag it and enjoy. Its not going to harm anyway... cool. Happy mylotting..

I tag the discussion almost everytime, If I dont get any tag then I skip, but very rare. Tagging will help to search the discussion. I think Whenever people search for this tag then this discussion will be short listed.
Good Luck

It gives myLot the ability to filter what's inside your post and to put it on their search database. ^_^ It also helps other myLotters to see that there's already that kind of discussion so we won't have to repeat the same post again. The more tags you put that is related to your post, the better it is for other myLotters to see your discussions if ever they're looking for that kind of topic. ^_^ I normally put tag on my discussions. I never tried skipping it because I want other myLotters to know my posts.
