Igor Panarin,a dean at the Foreign Ministry's school for future diplomats in Russia is perdicting "There is a high probability that the collapse of the United States will occur by 2010". That Obama will enforce Marshal Law by the end of the year.He is saying that when it happens the United States will break up into six autonomous regions and Alaska will revert to Russian control. He predicted Russia and China would emerge from the economic turmoil stronger and said the two nations should work together, even to create a new currency to replace the U.S. dollar.
What do you think about this? Will it happen? If we go down won't Russia and China go too, they depend on our economy and the US consumers for their economy too? Tell me what you think.

The way things are going, it would not be too surprising if this did in fact happen. I hope not but it surely looks as if it very well could. If we go down, I think Russia and China could survive. I think we have come to depend on them far more than they depend on us. We have handed so much of our power over to them.

I see it changing and the United States not being a world power anymore. And us here loosing some of our rights and moving into socialism.

If US went down, China and Japan would suffer but not Russia or at least not to the same extent. Europe may prosper.
Perhaps, you would like Britain to take you under its wing again and restore democracy to your hopelessly corrupt electoral system? I hear Ken Livingston is looking for a job and would make a good governer

I don't think that will happen. I mean, instead of being pessimistic, why not discuss things to help the US economy recover. It won't do any if someone would predict this and that; it would be much more constructive to discuss ways to help people who loss their job, discuss things about how to save now that we're having a financial crisis.

You hit the nail on the head! We cannot feed into the constant threats rather rise above and find ways to improve the situation. Today I saw a segment on the news regarding a local city where all of the workers agreed to work for one day without pay in order to avoid a layoff. That is a great example of being part of the solution.

i dont' think that US will go down the drain though they have suffered alot lately. and i don't want Russia and china to be next powerful nation cause we all know that what they will or may do with that power and that will not a good scenario in my opinion. and so i just hope that US will get stronger soon and remain the superpower economically and in every thing else.

I hope for our sake we don't. I know a lot of world hopes so too because if we fall we will take a lot of them with us. Which has got to have them really worried right now.

Russia is not saying this. One guy at a school in Russia is saying this. And I know a couple Russians that think this was funny and he will probably get canned for it pretty soon. Not a creditable source for anything.

The article I read said he was well respected professor and that he did television interviews all teh time. He seems to be very creditable in his country....just not here.

Its just a possibility, a simple guess of that Igor guy. The thing that is true is that Russia and China have a very stable economy, that supports by itself with the inner commerce of both nations. China is very close to become the new big economical potency of the world, but who knows, in this 2 years there are a lot of things that may help or destroy the plans of an entire country.

Don't kid yourself. Exports from Chins are way down and that is their life blood. The world market falls so does china. Russia is in a lot worse shape than the US and will fall before we do. Not to say we will not fall but not as quickly. The US and Russia and a lot of other countries may be fighting side by side to keep China from taking over the world. They have printing presses too and can print all the money they would need to put up one heck of a fight. If it comes down to China falling or starting another world war which do you think they would do. Or the United States too for that matter.

I think they underestimate the spirit of rugged individualism so many Americans have lived under for some time.. I don't think they are as acquainted with that in the past (and in the future it seems too). I think the world is headed for collapse, but not yet.. (People say the U.S. isn't in the book of revelation, I can't remember if you are a christian but the U.S. is in the book of revelation in two places, even three.) I'm thinking the U.S. will go strong for the U.N. (very strong) before we see much collapse. And when there is collapse it will be worldwide.

I don't know what to really think of all this talk... I mean over several years people have talked about crap like this & it has never happened... yet that is...
I guess anything can happen & maybe we all should kinda keep that in the back of our heads, but then why live in fear?
I think 2010 is way to soon if it was going to happen, but I just don't know.
I hope its all talk though... LOL!
I'm sure it will be okay... I guess all we can do is stand back, wait & watch...

I don't know. *rubs my eyes* I really don't know anymore.
I wouldn't have thought our politicians could've gone or tried to have gone as far they have, considering the present atmosphere. But I suppose this is the start of the "ANYTHING GOES!" stage of our times.
I'm not sure Alaska would ever willingly go to Russian control. But as for a replacement for the dollar...that depends on how soon our dollar tanks, or if we can somehow save it. As for martial law and maybe breaking up into parts...well, it depends how part the "anything goes!" stage is, I guess.

Propaganda. We have all heard it all before. We won't go down. As a country, we will do what needs to be done (kicking and screaming all the way as usual) and things will turn around and get better. Everyone has to use fear to try to get people worried and upset. I think other countries' economies would go before ours as they rely (though hate to admit it) on the US economy so much.

I dont know if it will be that soon, but it is certainly coming and the best thing that we can do is start preparing ourselves. For years they have been settingup what they call FEMA camps all around the US there are over 160 in many different states. Alaska having the most I believe. These camps are titled FEMA camps not to scare you, but they are set up in the event of Marshall Law. I don't find it ironic that Mississippi just passed a law the other day that even in the event of Marshall law they can not seize their residents weapons. Someone high up knows its coming to. The worst thing you can do right now is ignore what is going on. The economy is just a slight of the hand. Hey look over here at what is going on with the economy while the other hand is doing what it pleases and setting up things that will shock you. If you want to see how really free you are then go do something and see what happens. The fact is we are really not free and our government has gotten to big. If you want more information and not just conspiracy theories check out ronpaul.com. He is a great guy and has his head on straight. While I know this all sounds outrageous we need to stop living in a country that we think nothing will happen to us. It has been happening for years and gradually conditioning us to these things that now your okay with it because you think that is how it is supposed to be. NO! Our money system was devauled back when the federal reserve was inacted and SS made available. This a huge Ponsi scheme. The truth of everything is that you have to learn to see past everything and see straight. Really look into things and be careful. Do not place your faith in your government or any other entity. It is a waste and you will be sucked in. Go read Alex Jones and the Fema camps. You just think it is scary because you hear marshall law, but the fact is that we are hearing it more and more and more. Wonder why that is? Either one conditioning or because others want you to be prepared.

I know all about Ron Paul. I am a part of the campaign for liberty. I am sure you know about that.
As for the rest....lets hope it doesn't happen. But be prepared in case it does.

I would like to think that there are enough intelligent people in our government to keep that from happening; but since the Democrats control both houses of Congress, I'm not so sure. So far I don't think they're making very wise decisions. Read or listen to many of the preachers and teachers who speak on end time events. Almost all of them talk about the part Russia, China and Germany will have during the last days. I find it interesting that this Russian is saying some of the things the end time preachers are predicting. I don't think the USA will go down as long as Christians are in this country, but when they're gone (yes, I do believe in the rapture), I think the US will be a part of the one world government. It's already being pushed by many throughout the world. Have you ever read the stuff about the Illuminati? I think a one world government is their goal and they seem to have a lot of control in the world.

I don't think that this will take place but I do agree that there will always be a polite kind of political tension between the US and Russia. As a general rule I don't get involved in politics but I think that it is true that China is definitely a country to watch! The way that things are going on in the world right now, the credit crunch and so forth you can almost believe that anything could take place. The approaching years will be very interesting I'm sure! Upon reading this, I can only offer a smile and a hint of utter hate towards the statements made prior to my response. It won't happen by 2010 simply because we have Obamamon our side; a charismatic speaker that is offering more and is being more effective with addressing and solving issues than the previous president. He motivates Americans to survive these tough times. Can we get through it? Yes we can! Situations affecting the economy, like taking out loans for houses then having the value drop, that were on the verge of collapse for an almost immeasurable amount of time finally came spiralling down. Despite this, we, as Americans, are still a thriving mass of all races. Did I mention the fact that if the economy of the U.S. fails, then so will the rest of the world. Does anyone here remember the Great Depression? You might've even lived it. Well, when it happened, not only did banks in America fail, but all across the world banks were failing, too. 'When' our economy fails, seeing that the Russian dean thinks it inevitable, the rest of our world will suffer from similar aches and pains. We are the biggest consumer in the world. When we can't buy anything, the rest of the market won't be able to sell their stuff and receive the revenue to run the economy there. China and Russia could merge but it sounds too huge of a change to be even somewhat realistic. It seems like Russia would be trying to take over the world, or something to that extent, if this happened. (I'm not saying that they are, because it's an opinion from a dean and not the ruler, but it would seem that way.)

Reminds me of what happened in the short lived TV series "Jericho." Half the USA went one way. Half went the other way.
Looks like we all need to stockpile ammo and be prepared to shoot to kill when 0bamanation rams us farther into the ground than Bush ever though about doing.

For one thing I do not think that Russia and China can come together. Though historically Russia was the tutor to China on communist theory, the two had parted ways long back, and remained aloof and contenders in all those Cold War years. True the US today is a Recession troubled nation, and being a market for these two and all other trading nations of the world, the US has managed to make the Dollar the de facto International Currency. Though Russia and China are experimenting with democracy and market economy in pockets, and as erstwhile communist nations they have had what is called a planned economy with a near self-sufficiency in all departments of manufacturing and the services, I do not think their democracy is mature like that of US. The Dean's prediction is at best a commie dream. I for one would not want the US to slip into oblivion at all! That is because the US is home to all original technological breakthroughs and a haven for free enterprise, IMO US will and must bounce back, but then may be, it is true that the nadir is not there yet. Let's hope that Obama will stimulate growth, before it is too late.
IMO US people must restrict their consumption and let the economy recover in the lines that President Obama is thinking. The President sure has a formidable task before him.

What?
America will never fall, Russia's economic status is worse than the U.K and the U.S put together!
And U.S will fall?!
This is the Russians trying to intimide and demoralise the American people.
Russia is just wanting to start a war, which the outcome will be simple, the two greatest military superpowers(U.S and U.K) in the world Vs. Russia.
Don't make me chukle, hahaahah
