Let's just say on the average, whether you like the topic or not, how long can you finish a novel?

It really depends on how much time I have and such. This really affects how quickly I finish a novel. Sometimes, I can finish a novel very quickly; others times, it's takes me a little longer. In my case, it really depends on a few different things.

It really depends on the book, the time I have on hand, and my interest in the book.
Normally, if I'm undisturbed I can usually finished a regular paperback (300-400 pages) I would say between 4-6 hrs. I read the last Harry Potter for 10 hrs straight and finished it.
However, rarely do I have the time to read without any interruption, so I usually squeezed my reading before going to bed, during my lunch break, and any free time I can grab. With this kind of schedule, I would usually finished between 2- 4 books a week.

Reading is my favorite past time. I read "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer in a day. I also read "Breaking Dawn" (which is over 700 pages) in a little over 2 days. I am a very fast reader; especially if the book holds my interest, I don't put it down unless I have to...lol! On average, I read 7-10 books a month.

If I really like a book, I finish reading it in 2-3 days. Other books, maybe around a week,it really depends whether I'm busy or not. ^_^

Frankly speaking I don't like to read novels and I am not too much into books. But I like detective stories. Once I read few stories of Sherlock Holmes and as far as I can remember I read up those quite fast, but I don't exactly remember how much time it took me to finish up those stories.

I think I average at about 2 weeks. I don't feel like racing to the last page because to me it seems like I'm short-changing myself on experiencing the book. I take my time usually, reading 30 - 80 pages a day.
