what was your favourite game when you were a child?

My very best favourite game when I was a child was Hide and Seek. We had a big garden with lots of trees and shrubs, so it was a really good place to play Hide and Seek. 'Home' was a big tree in the middle of the garden. We used to play for hours, and it was always best when we had a few adults joining in. I played when I was a teenager as well, and in the summer we would sometimes play into the early hours of the morning if there was moonlight. I'm sure everyone has a favourite game, what is yours?

I don't want to be a copycat but honestly Hide and Seek was my favorite game in my childhood years. It may be influenced by the fact that it was the game we played often during afternoon breaks. The most fun part of it was that the game consumes the entire afternoon. So, we need not to perspire more in running. We just needed to find a good place to hide. We usually ended up hiding in very unusual places like outside CRs of our neighbors or climbing up on trees. There was also a time when we hide on the rooftop. And I can't forget when we hid under the houses near the shore. Maybe this game is also favored by most of the children here in the Philippines.

My favorite game when I was a child was sonic the headchog 2 for sega gennisis. Man I use to play that game a lot. Since I think that was the first game I ever played and first game I ever owned since it came with the sega game. After that game I got hooked on videogames lol.

I used to love hide and seek too! Especially when I got a little older we would go outside in the dark and play with flashlights! Those were good times. I think my ultimate favorite was Freeze Tag. We used to play that for hours! However, in the summer I was all about the Marco Polo in the pool!

When I was I child, I love playing chinese garter, chinese jackstone and pick up sticks at school after class dismissal. During weekends, me, my sisters and cousins love playing with our pots, and pans and all those cute kitchen stuff. It's during vacation when we go to the province that I get to play hide and seek and "patintero"

It is a shame that children can't play in the streets anymore, but it is just too dangerous now. It was a good way of different children mixing, and playing somewhere safe.

Mother may sounds familiar, but I can't remember what the game involves, and freeze tag I should think is probably similar to one we used to play called statues.

My best favorite game when I was a child is a native game here in Philippines. It is called "Patintero." It is a very popular game here in my country and most kids in this generation still plays the game. But it is more commonly done in provinces. The equipment needed are piece of chalk or paint, a scoreboard, whistles, stop watch and powder. A team is composed of five players a coach. The officials of the game are the scorer, timekeeper and linesmen. The objective of the team is to accumulate as many points by passing the lines without being tagged. A defensive team is called the line guard while an offensive team is called the passer. The game has three innings and each inning is divided into halves. I was usually admired by my classmates when I was in elementary because I rarely get tagged. Some even argue on which team should I belong because both teams wanted me to be one of their members. Anyway that was before. After I graduated in elementary my "Patintero" game graduated as well.

I LOVED hide-and-seek, forgot all about for years... thanks for reminder but I think I loved kick-the-can just a bit more. I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters , and we are close in age, and lived in country so we would play for hours . Except of course , being Canadian, in the winter we played fox and hounds more. AHHH childhood memories.

It must have been wonderful to have so many people to play with. What is Fox and Hounds? I'm guessing it involves a lot of running around.

I like Hide and Seek too, especially when i was a child. Making someone can't find you is huge fun in this game, but it is frustrating to find the game has been finished and all of the participants has gone home when you go out of the place where you hide in sometimes just because you hide too deep so noone can find you and even have not heared somesone to call you to leave, it is an interesting experience, thanks for recalling me the childhood memories i missed so much.

I love playing cards, because it makes and forces you to think. Since I'm pretty smart (no, really), I often win and that makes to happy. I also loved the "chinese chess", even I don't know how you call it in English. I love every game that makes you think.

we live in a city and so there are no trees that we can hide ourselves to. we just play inside the house and so the chance to find the other playmates was rather easy having a small house and a limited space to hide from. it was one fun game as far as i remember. played it many times before.

I have lots of favorite game when i was a teenager or should we say, a kid. We do hide and seek in the pale moonlight together with cousins and their neighbors. We also do "tumbang preso", jumping rope, taya-tayaan (your it!), and then the famous bahay bahayan and the ones you draw chalk on street and get a stone of your choice. A lot more that i forgot to remember the names. I like to play Shiatong too, marbles, tex cards, and the high jump where we used our fingers and palm and feet for measurement of high jump when someone is going to jump. Since before, we don't have computers and play stations, these are the famous street games that children play and i can still remember we were all happy playing it.
