Money is a nice insentive (sp?) to being succesful. Being successful is doing what you want to do and enjoying it. You're finding your purpose in life and you want stop living until you die. I honestly believe that as long as you are doing something you enjoy and are willing to commit to that activity/role then go for it. In this day and age, having money=power, and I am a strong supporter of the quote, "Power corrupts." I think you should be looking for an income that supplies you with more than just the bare necessities to get through life, but not so much that you would rather 'burn your money than use wood.' In your case, have a backup plan. Trust me, having a backup carreer to go to if you fail to achieve your dream carreer is better thab not having any job and having to discover a talent that you probably won't have. I knew people that wanted to be a professional musician, but didn't qualify for it so they became an economist. Best of luck with your exams, and remember that not everyone achieves their DREAM carreer.

I think to earning a lot of money is just an angle of the success. What is the really success for different people may have different opinions. For me, success should include many aspects:living together with the family happily;making good friends;keeping good health;developing my own career. This is my opinion.Good luck and happy mylotting.

being successful is being able to accomplish things that would make you feel good in the end. but i guess success is not something you perceived about yourself but it's about how other people would measure you up with regard to what they see you have achieved. so basically, one cannot really say he's successful because he'd always be thinking of moving forward.

success can be defined in a lot of aspects. it can be in terms of financial matter, relationships or even in your career life. one can consider himself as successful once he is actualized with the things he is enjoying. he gets contented with what he has and finds happiness in what he does as well. in terms of money constraints, it varies from individuals definition of success contentment. he can be financial successful but in others he may not be. so success varies greatly from individual to individual i guess.

My answer to your question is YES! Successful means earning a lot of money.. You reach your goals or dreams in life.. You had brought your house, car and already exploring the world.. That is what being successful to me.. Well, money is the reason of everything.. Many people will see you as a successful women or men if you have a lot of money, if your dreams in life have reach and most of all being popular.. I believe that when you have a lot of money then you can easily get all the things that you want in your life; only material things that you possess in life.. I am 21 right now and I'm working as a graphic artist.. My salary isn't that high to reach my goals in life.. My earnings is just enough for my daily expenses and it can't suite the things that i want to have in my life.. Well, I'm still young and if I pursue my dreams then maybe someday my dreams will come true.. As for you, don't lose hope.. You can still reach your goals in life.. You are still young for you to stop hoping.. Don't be discourage if you failed the two exams, you can still try to take it for the 3rd time..But make sure that you had review the exam.. Focus on the things that you want to succeed in your life and be ready to face all the trials and difficulties will come.. Be strong of not quitting because quitting is not the best solution for your problem.. Don't mind what others thing of you because other people will always think the things they want to think and you cannot stop them.. They will just keep on bothering you and losing your confident to your self.. So, just don't mind them and just do something to show them that they are wrong..

In my opinion, a very wealthy person can still be a failure, and apoor man can be successful. It is all in what they do with their life, not how much money they have. Do they help others? Do they strive to better themselves? Do they continually push forward even if they don't always have it easy? Are they good spouses and parents? To me, those things measure success more so than money does.

It is sad that people measure success with money earned. It is true to some extent. But earning good friends and relations, having reputation among them can also be added means of success in life. What is there if you have no good friends or relations to share, when you earn lot of money alone? But the society likes everybody to get settled economically well, immediately after graduation. It shall not be ignored.Cheers!

In this world yea, success means money. Money for friends, money for love money for power and that is so material world. Its frustrating that a lot of people will praise you and love to be near you when you are financially rich, but few people would love to be in your company if you are "spiritually rich." Am i right my friends?. For me success means joy of the heart, meaning you are happy with your job, your contented with your life, you manage to pay expenses and spend time with loved ones. Sometimes we think that rich people are so successful but deep inside their heart, they are many wounds that money cant be use as healing medicine. The wounds are so deep that they are longing to be so happy, but pressured because of dealing of money. such is life. I want to be successful in life, i want to be a loving wife, caring for future hubby in life. Have a small yet safe house and garden. happy mylotting!

Hi parthu, if you'll focus on your dreams and ambitions you can make everything possible and be successful no matter how many times you failed...just keep the faith! believe and it will happen. In my opinion about being successful is not dependent on money itself...because it is just a material thing that won't last and may be stolen from you, though money is important in our lives but it will never be the master of our life, I am not successful in terms of money, but I can say that I believe if am victorious in every situation because I have a majestic God who provides for all I need and He never leaves me when I'm in need. By living a simple life, pursue your career and do everything for God's glory not for yourself...you are successful.

money is not so important in our life. in my opinion, my parents and my friends mean great deal to me. whatever i want is not so much as my relationships. my sucess is simple: my parents and friends are very happy and healthy.

At your age is normal you worry about what people thinks? It's very hard not to. Failing twice only means you HAVE to try harder at your third time! You say it: your dream career and future depends on it, for me that is worry enough, to be thinking what others say over my failure. Success is a state of mine that we humans reach when we concider we have accomplish that what we desire. In this society Money is a meter for success to most of the non-thinking people. Do not take me wrong I like money, like most of the world but does not tells me someone is successful. Now Happiness, talks about Success!

I guess success is up to you to define. If you want to use money as a measurement of success, then go all the way out to make a lot of money. In reality, many rich people dropped out of school, started business and hire all the top scholars to work for them. They make money, not earn money as in employee. Anyway, most people use money as one of the measurements and not the only measurement of success. I guess examination is not your cup of tea. Maybe you have a lot more talents in other areas that your parents/teachers fail to appreciate. If you know what you want to do, or where your talents lie, then go ahead to fulfill your potential. Dont care about the examination that you know you can't pass.

Everybody may has respective criteria of success. Possessing a substantial amount of momeny, to someone, may be one of the successes that he/she takes. And also, success can only stay in certain period. Just like overcoming a difficulty may deem a success...so we're so many criterias to measure the success...anyway, you're still young and should work hard continously... someone may only start behaving after 30 or long later....can you subjectively say that he/she is of no use? We should take things objectively and the most importantly, we need to set our goal of success so that we can persevere all the way to enrich oursyslves so as not to waste our youth and life.

Most people do define being successful as making a substantial amount of money, but I think being successful should encompass more aspects, such as whether or not you actually like your job and are happy, doing the best you can do at that job, etc. As for your situation, if this is your dream job I say keep trying until you accomplish it. 20 is not that old, you still have plenty of time. Don't let other people expectations/judgments affect your dreams. Just study hard!

many ways to roma.. ^^ do let ppl make you down, coz what ppl say, sometimes we wont know if its true unless you try it right.. forexample, colonel sanders, if he let all the ppl let him down, i think we wont be able to eat KFC now ^^ so does alexander graham bell, before, he show his convention to many ppl, some even throw his invention out of the window, but he never give up.. if he did give up, i dont think now ppl will know what telephone is.. my point is juz believe ini your self, coz BELIEVING is SEEING ^^ i believe even if ppl have many failure in their life, that doesn't make them a loser, a loser is someone that already accept lose in their life and then they stop to try and fight for their life coz they already lose their hope.. so keep your hope high, keep trying, and believe, have faith ^^

I interpret "being successful" as meaning that you have accomplished many goals that you wanted to do. I'm 19, and I may not have a lot of money, but I'm happy with the things I've done in my life, even though my parents thinks that I'm wasting my time instead of trying to get a job. Life isn't all about money. It's about how you want to live it. Money just makes things easier to get, simply because it opens up more options for you. The reason why I'm happy with my life right now is because I've done more than half of what I want to do, and there's really nothing more that I could ever want, besides being able to support myself in the coming days of my life.
