i have a lot of things i would like to do witn my life, but i dont have the money to do so, and possibly the time. I am 20 years old in college for microcomputers and i want to do so many other things such as being a chef, acting, being in entertainment. I just cant focus on one thing. I love the arts but thought i would be wise to go with the future and stick to computers.

I tell you my friend , you will never reach something if your mind is not focus on something which means only one. You an take it one at a time if you like, but since you have said that money is also concern about this, then i suggest that you take something which you have the most interest, focus on it and finish it.
If you think you can excel on that particular favorite of yours, then pursue it. If not, then leave it alone because that is not for you. You may have only interest now, but later on, you will feel like you are not interested anymore.
Don't go with the flow, that most of your friends do this or that, but what is your choice? which path would you think you will excel? Do you think it is profitable for you to pursue that career? It is still your choice my friend, but for sure, don't be fickle minded.

If you are good with computers than definately refine your skills. They are the present and the future, and technology keeps moving.
As for your planned carreers go, you HAVE to start out small. I can't stress it enough, but that's the kind of mindset you have to create. I don't know your opinion of this matter but don't think you're going to walk into your carreer you chose and have incredible results. It's like walking into a weight room and trying to bench twice our body weight. Take baby steps. Find certain events you can participate in that are viewed by the public eye. It'll be great practice for whn you're really in show biz. Also, find some competitions where you can really show off your skills. Trust me, there will be people there that are looking to hire and/or sponsor people that catch their eye. I don't know exactly what you mean by entertainment, but that's my interpretation.
Again, take baby steps. Know that you WILL fall down. Your failures lead to your greatest success. So, when you fall down, get back up and keep striving for who you want to be.

Just about everything you said interests you can be done at the same time you're studying and building a career in computers. You might just find that one of these areas is your pathway to success, or at least a great use of spare time. You're only 20, so you have lots of time to explore!
Good luck.

There are moments in our life that we are confuse and lost.
We don't know what to do with our life. Where we are heading
and what is our purpose in being here in this world. The reason alone
that you are here alive and breathing is because you are special.
You can do many things if you want to. You can reach your goals in life
f you just work hard. Don't lost hope.

Well, you can try some of your interests actually while you're taking up your course by joining some of the clubs in your school. Don't they have acting club, stuff like that?
You can actually try some things without having to spend so much money. Just know which organizations offer free classes and be able to prioritize your studies and extracurricular activities.
There's a lot of organization out there that offer free classes. And, from there, you can ask them to sponsor you if you do excel in that field. They might offer some scholarship, you may never know.
And if you're active in your church, they have also some resources for you where you can avail or your church members will try and help you find what you're looking for.
Learn to mingle and be able to widen your options. There's so many opportunities out there. It's just a matter where to look for.
Good luck.

i think we are in same situation. I have a lot of things in mind, i want to study other courses even though i earned bachelor degree in accountancy. I want to enroll in short classes like studying english and grammar, public speaking and other english related subjects. i also want to try computer programming, but yes i dont have enough money to use for all of my plans. I am working in a real estate developer company, and also doing litte business, i just save for the rainy days but if i already have enough money i will really do my plans. My plans and dreams are still there, i dont need to be frustrated. life is step by step. Just do your things and enjoy it. Step by step my friend.
happy mylotting!

I know what you mean! There is so much to life and this is the only one you've got! You should balance it all out... finish with your computers degree while taking some acting classes and cooking classes... or work in a restaurant.. so that you can see what the atmosphere is like! If you're from America, you can always go back to school. Follow you instincts and do everything that you can!

So am I. There were so many career being I want to be into, but I don't have the endurance to pursue any of them. Now, I am 30, and I deeply regretted it. Because it is like I being wasting my entire life in pursuing blank. Good advise; take whatever you deems suitable to your future, and do good on it. You probably will find it as a good choice after all.

i've been through the same thing when i was younger. i couldn't make up my mind with what i should do, cause i'm torn between what i'm supposed to do, what i want to do, what i should do, and what's i'm good at... so yeah it's hard. but take it easy, i hope the answers will come to you soon.

Having lots to do in life is not a problem I think. What you do is to give ample time for everything you want to do. In this case you would not be bored doing one or two things and at the same time you test yourself if other endeavors would interest you. however, prioritize things. I hope this be of help to you!
