What is the first appliance you turn on when you reach home ?

TV is for me the first appliance I turn on and the very last I turn off before going to bed. I even leave it on if I am only going to be gone from home for an hour or so. My dogs like it as it keeps them company!!

My computer is definitely the first thing I turn on. I never turn on the TV except at night when I am getting ready to sleep. Then I turn it on and put the sleep timer on for an hour.

I never turn on Tv my , I only turn on my computer, and beside that nothing is on in my house, i like to enjoy the silence. I don't even turn on TV if my husband is not at home. I don't like TV :) Have a good day!

The first thing I turn on when I come in the house, if I've been gone, is my laptop. It sits on the ottoman in front of my chair and it's just automatic for me to reach over and turn it on. I want it to warm up and download my mail by the time I sit down to get on it.

i also turn on my tv when i get home, i like to check my DVR and see what show's i've recorded for the day! best invention ever!! LOL and i'll also turn on my laptop to do some mylotting while im watching and relaxing in my room

I turn on the lights when I first get home and then I turn on the television.

If the buses are on time I can get home just in time to see the end of Rome is Burning so I turn on the T.V.

The first appliance i turn on when i reach home is my computer.I use it to earn money.If i cannot do that i will use it to play games.I never use the television much.If i had a gaming console that would be the first thing to turn on as i am addicted to games.

Normally the kettle for a nice cuppa tea ,then I check the phone for messages,sort those out then depending on what there is to do normally the tv ,sometimes the washing machine, or the iron,or the hoover I have so many to choose from I am spoilt but normally the kettle then the rest follows.xxx

I think the first applicance I turn on is fan. I will be tired by the time I reach home and want to be under fan for sometime. I take away my chappals as soon as I reach home, open the door, and sit on the couch under the fan for sometime. I take rest for about 5 minutes and slowly switch on the television and watch it for sometime.

i will switch on the lights and go for tv remote. and with it i will put tv first and afterwards i go for cpmputer ,to see this mylot. with seeing this mylot in computer,if it is cold here ,i will put room heater . and afterwards i will switch on exhaust fan ,for starting cooking.

My laptop :) Always preferred surfing the net rather than watching TV. I wonder what the activities were in the day when TV's and computers were nonexistent..

i turn on the TV.. it really keeps me company especially im staying alone in my house...and the TV just on until i go to sleep.. and i would put it in sleep mode so that i can feel that i have company in my place..

hello ronnyb, actually i don't go out and work. im a stay at home mom but i will just expand a little bit your questions here..i hope you don't mind..something like "what appliances i first turn on when i wake up??" and my answer is also the television, my son has a habbit of watching his favorite shows or dvd's everytime he wakes up,he will always woke me up early in the morning just to put his dvd on the dvd player..thats his everyday routine heheh!!

I also turn on the tv when I first get home. The computer is generally on so I'm good to go. Only time I unplug the computer is when it's storming or about to storm. Then I would have to say the computer goes on first if it's clears up. I like having noise in the background as I am working at the computer.

It's usually the fan or the air-conditioner, depending on how hot it is outside. After that, it is the computer and the TV.

Mine too is tv.I turn it on to see the updated news first and then I switch over to some music channels.I like to see music or comedy in tv rather than boring serials.Listening to music or comedy is greatly refreshing for me.Cheers!

I too switch on the television. After working for the whole day, I feel tired and I wish to watch a good movie or some other interesting programme. Life outside is too boring. However, the life on television is very interesting and exciting. When you watch the television, you are transported automatically to a different world.

My husband? Just kidding!! The first thing I do is let in my dog so I can get cuddled. When I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is turn on the computer and get done what I need to get done.
