Hi, we have a dog - she's a shih tzu. We also have a couple frogs. I've never been the biggest pet person, but shih tzus don't shed, so they're a little easier to care for. I'm also a little bit allergic to pet fur, but I don't seem to have that problem with our dog. I love the frogs! They're so cute! I tend to prefer reptiles and amphibians to furry pets. But of course now that we have a dog I lover her!

I used to have a lot of pets. From cats, turtles, fishes, various kind of birds, rabbits. I think my home almost turns into a zoo,haha.. We had to take care of them patiently and full of responsibility, always clean them up, it was a little bit tired, but it was so exciting. But now, since i've been moving to another hometown, i have no pet. Now i live with my aunt which doesn't like pet.

Pets take a lot of responsibility. We have two cats and two dogs and the youngest per is a six month old puppy. She's not very house trained so I have to be sure to take her out often or she'll have an accident on the carpet. Your grandmother may not want the responsibility of a pet.

I have a 6-mo old male maltese puppy. I'm not really a pet person but my husband got me this puppy as a gift so I couldn't say no. He's very cute but because he has a furry white coat he easily gets dirty when he plays outside the backyard. We human beings get dirty too and what do we do when we get dirty? We take a bath or a shower. The thing about pets is they can not wash themselves and it's not their fault. It's a big commitment and responsibility once you decide to have a pet cause they will be a part of your life until the day they die. Yes, they will pass away first cause most of them only live for more or less 18-20 yrs unless something happens to the owner. So think of a pet as not just something you would play with and enjoy. It's something you would care for, so if you're not up to taking care of a pet then you're better off not having one but if you are then try to convince your grandma that you will take responsibility if she allows you to have one. Goodluck.

I have two dogs. They are little boy shih-tzus and they are my babies. I love Patches and Ringo dearly...and boy will they love me when I come home from college for the weekend tomorrow and take them to the park! They love to go down the slides and it is so funny! But only if I am holding them, they won't go by themselves! I think of them as my children and I keep them from being dirty by getting them groomed and giving them baths. I couldn't imagine a life without dogs. My grandmother has two birds and I hate them. They are loud, mean, and make a complete mess by pulling out their feathers all the time. They are horrible...dogs and cats are much better to me!

I have two cats. Indoor pets can be messy, I wouldn't call them dirty. I do have to vacuum frequently because of the fur, and it does get stuck to my clothes and furniture. You also have to be mindful of the litter box in cats. But as long as you keep it clean, there is no problem with indoor pets.

Pets are only dirty if you don't take care of them. We do have a pet. It's a cat, and her name is Butterscotch. She's a very good kitty.
