no good discussions!

Sometimes it happen... I don't blame discussion starter for he/she can't express his question in plain English correctly, as sometimes it happen to me. You see when English is not your mother language and you didn't use it regularly... it's easy to slip away and make a bad discussion topic or nearly boring one...

I think the main reasons are first there are lots of different types of people here, like me I am a stay at home wife, all I do is housework, feed the dog, stay with my husband so I don't see a lot everyday, you can find most of my discussion is about cooking, dog, husband that kinds of stuff. Second, the reason why people want to be here because they want to earn some extra money so they won't care if their discussions have good quality or no. That's what I think. :-)

Some people who are capable of intelligent discussions (like me..seriously I could do it! Maybe...), well we don't always have things to talk about. I rarely ever start discussions because I never know what to talk about. Also there's the possibility that, even if I did start one, the "intelligent" people may not have the same interest listed (and not everyone checked the recent or empty discussions all the time)

Many of us feel that way at times and we've all posted this discussion too. But we're still here so something must be going right. Personally, I am here for fun. I did once post a very intellectual discussion about evolution. I got three responses. Maybe people say that they want that sort of stuff but don't really mean it. A friend of mine often posts high brow stuff and rarely gets much of a dialogue going. The way that I do it now is by trying to be humorous - sometimes it works, often not. C'est la vie. I'd sooner talk about burping cats and actually interact with people than ask whether Sam Johnston as portrayed by Boswell was really a major contributor to British literature, or was it just fan fiction, and have most people go "Uh?" Get a group of friends here, join the group that I hang with, we love having people round, and have fun. You'll be surprised at the level of conversation - I didn't know that banana trees could be grown indoors at home before today! LOL.

I know... It's easy to run out of good things to talk about. It happens with time I guess.

I think there are so many types of people here and there may be ones who want to get into the dept of a discussion and some that have to have a release and just talk about stupid stuff or they will go crazy with all the stress in their lives, and those who are willing to make discussions and those who are not... depends on the night...and what you consider a good discussion.. some are here to learn their english..which is great!! and there are moms or dads or someone who is new and finding there way around mylot... but in the end it is all about what is considered a good discussion... LOL

Hi there NuttyMomma, Same as me before i fill all Interest offer and just keep fill it up from discussion to the others. I was covered by my interest and suddenly, i found so many unique discussion that i love. Gardening from Grandpa Bob, Cats with Tatylashes;..Lotty! and Make money with mydianait, and then sharing feeling with hilia2008 and lkbooi, They are nice ladies!! and siZidni orchids,..exotic papua with Colmuc, Ghost storries with nanajanet... I can't even spare my time with the others for more for posting, but i always trying to be fair.. Or maybe you want to visit my discussion? (psst,.. but they all weird posts) LOL it is true Happy posting always, oxox'dian from bali island.

Even a simple discussion can turn out to be quite interesting discussion if the writer is creative and can make it lively and catchy by playing with their words.Though we do not have that journalistic english but we can adopt some of the idiomatic words to add spice to our discussions.

ya i too searching for good discussions. But some of the discussion was interesting and quite cool.

Hi nutty momma i fully agree with you that most people including me came here for money and most people do post some discussions just for earning some money. people tend to post some discussions daily and it is not possible for anyone to post lots of intelligent discussions daily. i wish i had brains to put them but:(
