About 3 months ago, my general manager talked with me about my job. He wanted me to go to Beijing for one or two years, where our branch company is. For my career in the company, it was an very good opportunity. But I had to leave my family. Beijing was away from my family almost 1 thousand kilometers. Of course it was very unconvenient to go home for me. But I have been keeping to go home as often as I can. Even just in order to take look at my mother and wife.
What will you do if you must leave your family for one or two years like me?

If I were to get in my car and drive to my family it would take between 8 hours and 27 hours to see them. I think that this is one of those things that quality matters more than quantity. I see them once a year and that is about it. But we talk on the phone almost everyday.
I do not think I would be happy if my husband was that far away, I feel like I married him so that we could be together and not apart. But I understand that you do what you have to do to provide for your family.

Thanks for your understanding. I think your husband will be very happy when he read this massege.
I have been calling to my family almost every day. Of course, I also communicate with them by Internet tools, such as QQ, MSN, and so on. I hope my family always be happy. So I go home almost once a week.
After all, reuniting is the final result. I'm confident I can balance them.
Thanks again.

yes i know its a very hard decission to leave the family for work, and it becomes even more tough when you haven't done that in the past. but if you try to think about their future and better life all that you are going to do is just for them then you might get some relief.but i think its always difficult to stay away from the family...

There is a proverb in China, calld "improve yourself, then build family; develop country, then dedicate yourself to world". But I think everyone who goes around the world will go home in the end.
Just as you said, when I'm away from family, I feel like a tramp sometime at night. I miss my wife, my mother. I'd like to finish such life, as possible as I can.

If I have to leave my family for that long, I'll make sure they have communication devices handy where I can reach them. Also I'll try to get in touch with them even once or twice a week so that they won't miss my presence much. And I'll assure them that time flies and we'll wake up one day that I'm home.
