My friends and I are hanging out tomorrow evening and to save money, we decided to eat dinner at home before heading out. I told them, I'm going to attempt to cook dinner for them. LOL. I am not a cook, I don't even cook simple dishes but I would try tomorrow for them. Any suggestions on what to cook for them? Make it simple. Remember I don't have any experience on cooking.

"Barbequed" chicken - Tenderloins are the easiest. Estimate 4-5 per person, depending on how big they are. Thaw them out and sprinkle them with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder... not too much, you just want enough to season the meat. Put them in a cake pan and cover with your favorite barbeque sauce. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes, again depending on their size. If you have a meat thermometer, test the thickest part of the thickest tenderloin after about 15 minutes. If you don't have a thermometer, make a circle with your thumb and index finger. Push on the heel of your hand next to your thumb. The chicken should be slightly firmer than this spot when it's done.
My favorite thing to have with barbequed chicken is pasta salad, which is also super super simple. Follow the directions on the package of pasta (gemelli, rotini, penne and macaroni are the best salad pastas...rainbow rotinis make it just that much more fun), drain, rinse and cool. While it's cooling, chop veggies. Anything you want...tomatoes, cucumbers, olives (you can leave them whole if you want or slice them or chop them), onion, bell peppers (if you like bell peppers, mix red, yellow and green for more color), carrots, celery....anything you want. Mix a half of a cup of mayo with a tablespoon of lemon juice, onion powder, dill weed, salt, and pepper to taste. If it's too thick, you can use more lemon juice (to taste) or a little milk to thin it. Put the pasta and veggies in a bowl and toss with your dressing.
Good luck!

Do you like pasta? Do you guys eat meat and seafood? The easiest I can think of now is: some salad, grilled lemon chicken and some pasta.
For the salad, just get some romaine hearts lettuce, croutons, grated parmesan & a store-bought salad dressing of your choice.
For the chicken, marinade chicken fillet or chicken tenders on lemon juice, dried basil, salt & pepper for an hour or two. Grill them indoor or outdoor.
For the pasta, get some penne, tri-color rotini or any short pasta. cook them according to package instruction. toss in black olives, sundried tomatoes, sliced bellpepper and some shrimp if you like. Then add a generous amount of extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper. You can add some garlic bread on the sides.
If you have some more to spare, get some icecream for dessert.
I hope that helps. Im sure you'll have lots of option from other mylotters.Goodluck, i hope you all enjoy dinner.

Make spegetti. It is about as simple as it gets. If you do not cook then buy the sauce (then learn to make your own, it is worth it). you can easily make garlic bread to go with it.
You could also make meatloaf, and mashed potatos, with a veggie. There are tuns of recipies online that you can follow.
