I remember lying on your ash-encrusted floor
With the smoke pouring out from the door
Like sometimes you would pour me wine.
Maybe I was different then,
Or maybe I was high.
I know I'm happy now,
But back then,
What WAS I?

From your post, I guess you miss someone now, lover or a good friends, who ever had a fine relationship with you, but some unhappy things happend between you,now you feel some regrets.
