Well there has been no scientific basis for that or maybe I just have not read it. But I do sleep when my hair is wet. I heard that stories too and I was forbidden to sleep when I was young but now that I am old I do sleep when my hair is still wet. The only bad thing that happens is my hair get really messed up when I sleep.

Yeah, I sometimes do. This usually happens when I feel so sleepy already and can't wait to let my hair dry, I just sleep even if my hair is wet. So far, I haven't notice any white hair coming .

I have gone to bed with my hair wet. I did that alot when I was in school. There was never time for me to wash my hair in the mornings, so I would take care of it the evening before. It just made things a whole lot easier, and I didn't have to get up any earlier than I already did.

It's not proven that sleeping with wet hair encourages growth of white hair. Or if it already is, I probably wasn't updated about it.
Many times, I do sleep with damp hair and I tend to get headache the next morning that's why I try not to take a bath at night anymore.

I tried to look but didn't find a single white hair on my head. Didn't they say too that white hairs are guardian angels? So that we won't pluck them out? Maybe that's like saying that the older you get, and the more white hairs you have, you are getting closer to the time you'll meet God.
Hehe, I don't know I just made that up as I go.

Hi donnakristel! i have heard all about those before and I really don't know if there is truth to that. Although I really don't sleep with my hair still wet not because of I believe that I will have a headache but because I don't want my pillow to get wet. LOL! However, there is this one time that I did sleep with my hair still wet because I took a shower late in the night and I got really sleepy after the relaxing shower. I fell asleep with hair still wet and the following morning, I didn't even got a mild headache.
Take care and blessings to you.

Hello donnakristel. I tried sleeping when my hair was wet because I was so sleepy and couldnt wait for it to dry so I slept with my hair wet. When I woke up I saw a few white hairs. That wasnt a good sight. Now, I know that I shouldnt sleep with my hair wet.

I used to sleep when my hair was still wet coz I wore short hair, lol. And it's really very very convenient. I could wash my hair right before I went to bed. But that changed after I went to college as the study was not as heavy as high school and I got a lot of spare time. Now I really can't sleep with the wet hair coz it's too long and the pillow will become wet as well. Besides, the next morning I will have too crazy hair style, lol. I've also heard that it may cause headache and I kinda believe it. So I dry my hair before sleep.

I very rarely will sleep with wet hair. This was something when growing up, my mother would never allow. I think she just told us we'd catch a cold. Personally, now, as an adult, I don't like going to sleep with wet hair. I'm just not comfortable. And, I think the worst sensation in the world is to wake up and find yourself lying on a soggy pillow. I don't think you have to worry about the whole hair color issue due to sleeping with wet hair, sound like an old wivetale to me.

If going to sleep with your hair wet caused it to turn white then I would have stark white hair. Nor do I notice a headache, but I suppose it is possible.
The worst part I have found about going to bed with wet hair is that I have to rewet it in the morning because it dries crazy.

i don't go to sleep with my hair still wet, i hate it when it makes the pillow all wet. I don't think if you go to sleep with your hair wet your hair will turn white.

I can't help it, sometimes when i take a bath at night and i feel really sleepy, i would go to bed with wet, not so wet hair i mean. I do know that my mother tells me not to, when we were young she would just wake me up and say , don't sleep when your hair is wet, you might get blind.
Duh, i don't know, it that a folklore, old wives tale or something that they say you will be blind when you sleep with wet hair. I think the consequence will be your pillow case will be wet of course.
And besides you can get a white hair as some other people say that this will happen to them when you fall asleep with wet hair.
